The Basics:
Tanium is looking for an experienced team-first Workplace Coordinator to join our workplace team in our Durham, NC office. This is an in-office role and is integral in maintaining the Tanium culture and will help support our team and office through management of daily operations to include facilities, vendors, and onsite events. Independence, proactivity, flexibility, leadership, dependability, and excellent organizational skills are a must. This is a highly collaborative role deeply integrated with our Engagement, IT, AV, and Security support service teams and must have a customer service approach when working with our team members in the office.
This position is required to work in the following office location five days per week: Durham, NC.
What you’ll do:
- Ensure the facility runs smoothly in all aspects with limited daily guidance from your leadership. It’s important that you take leadership of your office.
- Ensure that the office is kept tidy and presentable for staff and visitors.
- Partner with our EHS team to ensure the office is up to date and follows health and safety protocols.
- Perform onboarding and off-boarding tasks for incoming and outgoing employees.
- Perform all day-to-day support tasks of this office location.
- Manage vendor relationships, office supplies, office equipment, and overall office appearance autonomously.
- Field maintenance and service requests including coordination of repairs with building engineers and various vendors.
- Manage office budget, purchase requests, and purchase orders.
- Food program management: work with vendors to ensure kitchen supplies, snacks, and beverages are stocked daily, and lunch is always delivered on schedule without mistakes.
- Manage relationships with service providers and building management.
- Fulfill all mail and shipping requirements at this location to include pickup, sorting, & distribution of incoming mail daily, prepare & ship outgoing mail.
- Support onsite events including set up, tear down, coordinate with vendors and internal staff to ensure event is a success. These events can include small employee or client meetings, larger marketing trainings, company-wide celebrations, executive client meetings, and more.
- Provide support on various CapEx projects and Workplace initiatives.
- Work with and coordinate property management with Tanium Global Security Operations to provide a safe office environment.
- Support office relocations and move management.
- Create office newsletters and send out regular office communication.
- Support office volunteer projects in the office and off-site occasionally throughout the year.
- Support compliance programs related to environmental sustainability and security.
- Plan and maintain operational budgets for each fiscal year.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Education
- BA/BS and/or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Experience
- 3+ years of office management and administrative experience required.
- Authorized to work in the US.
- Ability to work onsite from our Durham office daily.
- Ability to work on an adjusted schedule as needs arise.
- Ability to manage a primarily engineering office.
- Computer skills to include: Office 365, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Teams.
- Experience with Slack and Zip is a plus.
- An understanding of US shipping / receiving regulations and logistics is also a plus.
- Experience supporting both office and remote worker environments.
- Excellent verbal communication.
- Ability to work with various teams and vendors.
- Ability to act autonomously without daily guidance.
- Ability to keep up and adjust in a fast paced, ever changing work environment.
- Experience with project management.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Experience interacting with C-Level executives is preferred but not required.

What you’ll get
The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $40,000 to $120,000. This range is an estimate for what Tanium will pay a new hire. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience. This position is classified as non-exempt and eligible for overtime pay as required by law.
