Overview
We are engaging an experienced Webflow Developer to support the build, optimization, and integration of our marketing website over a defined contract period. The consultant will deliver project-based Webflow enhancements, implement performance improvements, and integrate third-party tools and analytics solutions. This engagement will focus on producing high-quality landing pages, scalable site systems, and accurate event tracking, in collaboration with our internal teams. All work will be performed as part of a fixed-term, independent contractor agreement, with the consultant retaining autonomy over how deliverables are achieved.
Services & Deliverables
- Deliver Webflow Design & Implementation - Build and deploy new landing pages, campaign modules, and CRO test variants within Webflow.
- Deliverables include fully functional page designs, Webflow project files, and staging review links.
- Provide Custom Technical Enhancements - Provide code modules (JavaScript) for interactivity, personalization, event logging, and handling edge cases.
- Deliverables: Code snippets or assets, integrated into Webflow and documentation for ongoing use.
- Implement and Validate Analytics Instrumentation -Integrate event tracking for Mixpanel, Google Analytics, etc.
- Provide verification reports or dashboards (via tools like Datadog or similar) to confirm instrumentation integrity.
- Optimize Technical Performance - Conduct performance audits (e.g., Lighthouse), refactor existing code, improve page speed, and resolve tracking and performance issues.
- Deliverables: Summary of issues identified, applied fixes, before/after performance metrics.
- Establish Webflow Workflow & Best Practices - Define and document a Webflow development workflow for use by in-house teams and external agencies.
- Deliverables: Workflow documentation (e.g., process diagrams, version control guidelines, review checkpoints).
- Integrate Third-Party Tools - Configure tools such as Google One Tap, cookie consent modules, analytics scripts, and chat integrations within Webflow.
- Deliverables: Integration configurations and documented setup instructions.
- Advise on New Features - Provide feasibility assessments, estimated timelines, and performance recommendations for new web feature requests.
- Support Experimentation & Iteration
- Aid marketing team by implementing A/B test variants.
- Provide guidance on experimentation infrastructure, performance review, and iterative design recommendations informed by user behavior and campaign outcomes.
Relevant Capabilities & Experience
To successfully deliver the services outlined in this agreement, the consultant should have:
- Proven expertise in front-end development for marketing websites, including advanced proficiency in Webflow and the use of custom code.
- Demonstrated ability to create scalable, high-performance landing pages with attention to maintainability and conversion optimization.
- Experience integrating and configuring third-party tools and implementing client-side scripting for marketing or growth initiatives.
- Knowledge of performance optimization, SEO best practices, and structured QA processes.
- Experience collaborating with marketing, brand/design, and other stakeholders to translate objectives into effective Webflow builds.
- Familiarity with tools such as Segment, Mixpanel/GA4, and Datadog (preferred but not required).
Project duration
- This is a 6-month contract offering up to 40 hours of work per week. This posting makes no assurances of an employee-employer relationship now or in the future.
- We strongly prefer individuals located in the Pacific time zone (preferably in the San Francisco Bay Area) to enable occasional onsite collaboration in our San Francisco office. However, remote deliverables are acceptable.
