Nuro

Videographer and Content Producer

at Nuro

California (HQ), Mountain View, United States

Who We Are

Nuro is a self-driving technology company on a mission to make autonomy accessible to all. Founded in 2016, Nuro is building the world’s most scalable driver, combining cutting-edge AI with automotive-grade hardware. Nuro licenses its core technology, the Nuro Driver™, to support a wide range of applications, from robotaxis and commercial fleets to personally owned vehicles. With technology proven over years of self-driving deployments, Nuro gives the automakers and mobility platforms a clear path to AVs at commercial scale, empowering a safer, richer, and more connected future.

About the Role

Nuro is seeking a Videographer & Content Producer with a versatile, Swiss-army-knife multimedia skill set to strengthen our in-house visual production and scale how we tell our story. This is a hands-on creative role for a storyteller who can concept, shoot, edit, and deliver a wide range of content—covering episodic series and events to PR, product, and people stories.

You’ll capture, edit, and produce video and photography that document everything from daily work to major company milestones. The ideal candidate will embed deeply within the organization, build trust and context across teams, and proactively identify compelling storytelling opportunities.

This role reports to Nuro’s Director of Brand & Marketing and partners closely with the Head of Content to deliver a consistent, impactful visual presence that supports both near-term business goals and long-term brand affinity. This role will play a key part in shaping how the world sees Nuro—elevating our visibility with partners, investors, media, and future teammates.

About the Work

In this role, you will be responsible for:

Visual Content Creation

  • Capture, edit, and produce video and photography that showcase Nuro’s mission, products, and people.
  • Deliver a range of assets—from short-form social content and PR stills and headshots to longer narrative pieces and campaign videos.
  • Document critical company moments, including manufacturing, testing, product milestones, events, and team stories.
  • Contribute creative direction and storytelling ideas for campaigns, product launches, and brand initiatives, developing visual concepts that align with company goals.
  • Partner closely with Brand & Marketing to identify and execute against visual asset production KPIs.
  • Partner closely with Brand & Marketing and both internal and external stakeholders to ensure clear, cohesive, and on-brand storytelling across all channels and audiences.
  • Stay up to date with visual trends, production techniques, and emerging technologies to continuously elevate Nuro’s creative output.

Production & Logistics Ownership

  • Build and manage a prioritized production schedule across multiple teams and requests.
  • Plan and execute shoots on location, handling camera, lighting, and audio setups.
  • Collaborate with external vendors or freelancers on specialized projects when needed.
  • Set up an in-house studio at Nuro’s Mountain View HQ for headshots, in-person interviews, and podcast recordings.

Post-Production & Editing

  • Edit raw footage and photos into polished, brand-aligned deliverables optimized for multiple platforms and audiences.
  • Support motion graphics, animation, and visual templates to strengthen brand cohesion.
  • Perform color correction, audio mixing, and light visual effects to enhance production quality.

Manage feedback cycles and deliver projects on time.

  • Ensure brand consistency and storytelling alignment across all projects.

Brand Asset & Equipment Management

  • Build and maintain an organized, searchable archive of audiovisual assets.
  • Establish and maintain a video style guide, including treatments, animations, and text overlays.
  • Manage company equipment, keeping our physical assets organized and our cameras/recording equipment in excellent condition.

About You

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in professional videography, photography, or multimedia production (in-house or agency).
  • Drone photography/videography experience and FAA certification.
  • Deep understanding of visual storytelling, framing, pacing, and composition.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating storytelling across both video and photography, ideally with experience in the auto or tech industry.
  • Expertise with professional camera, lighting, and audio equipment.
  • Expertise with professional editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom, Final Cut Pro).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail in asset management and delivery.

Mindset

  • Story-driven: You see visuals as a way to move hearts, not just capture moments.
  • Resourceful: You find creative solutions to production challenges and bring ideas to life quickly.
  • Collaborative: You thrive working closely with cross-functional partners.
  • Hands-on: You’re comfortable doing it all—concepting, shooting, editing, and delivering.
  • Organized: You run a tight ship—with your equipment, files, and schedules.

Bonus Points

  • Familiarity with live streaming or podcast production.
  • Background in motion graphics or 3D visualization.
  • Passion for robotics, technology, or automotive storytelling.
