About the team/role
We’re hiring for a Technical Recruiter who will be responsible for full-cycle recruiting, from sourcing to closing exceptional talent, for our Engineering and Product teams. You’ll source top-tier candidates who possess strong technical abilities, an entrepreneurial spirit, a strong sense of ownership, and a diverse range of thought. You have a growth mindset, are data-driven, and you’re able to build strong and long-lasting partnerships with both your hiring partners and candidates.
What you’ll do
- Recruiting: Manage the entire candidate lifecycle, including initial intake meetings with hiring managers, developing effective sourcing strategies, screening and interviewing candidates, coordinating complex interview processes, managing offer negotiations, and successfully closing exceptional technical talent.
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute creative and data-driven sourcing strategies to identify, attract, and engage a diverse pipeline of top-tier technical talent.
- Hiring Partner Consultation: Build and maintain strong, collaborative partnerships with hiring managers and leaders across R&D, acting as a trusted advisor on market trends, compensation, and talent acquisition best practices to ensure a seamless and efficient hiring process.
- Candidate Experience: Ensure an outstanding and high-touch experience for every candidate, maintaining transparent communication and representing the company's values throughout the hiring journey.
- Data-Driven Approach: Leverage recruiting metrics and data to track pipeline health, identify bottlenecks, inform decision-making, and continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the recruiting process.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous refinement and scaling of our recruiting processes, tools, and reporting to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
What you bring
- 5+ years of recruiting experience, preferably hiring Engineering and Product talent
- 2+ years of experience hiring software engineers. Ideally, you’ve hired engineers through a pooled/evergreen recruiting pipeline
- Proven success in sourcing your own pipelines and developing strategies to build out top-of-funnel
- Passion for creating an awesome candidate experience. Strong negotiation and closing skills with a candidate-first mindset
- Empathetic, proactive partner to hiring managers; equally comfortable advising, coaching, and listening
- Nice to have: experience using data to track pipeline health
- Nice to have: experience using Greenhouse and Gem
- Nice to have: experience driving process improvements

We use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop ranges for our roles and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range. If this role is remote, we have listed the top to the bottom of the possible range, but we will specify the target range for an exact location when you are selected for a recruiting discussion. At Checkr, we believe a hybrid work environment strengthens collaboration, drives innovation, and encourages connection. Our hub locations are Denver, CO, San Francisco, CA, and Santiago, Chile. Individuals are expected to work from the office 2 to 3 days a week. Starting January 2026, hub-based employees will be expected to work from the office 3 days per week. In-office perks are provided, such as lunch four times a week, a commuter stipend, and an abundance of snacks and beverages.
