Technical Program Manager, Broker Dealer
at Betterment
New York, United States
About Betterment
Betterment is a leading, technology-driven financial services company that offers investing, savings and retirement solutions for retail investors and investment advisors as well as financial wellness solutions, including a 401(k) for small and medium-sized businesses. Our team is passionate about our mission, to empower people to build wealth with confidence and ease. We’re headquartered in NYC and offer hybrid NY-based positions (four days/ week in-office, with no required office days during the summer and winter holidays).
About the role
As a Technical Program Manager supporting Betterment’s Broker Dealer and Investor divisions, you will play a critical role in driving execution, coordination, and operational clarity across highly interconnected and interdisciplinary teams. You'll work alongside quantitative researchers, engineers, compliance partners, and product leaders who care deeply about getting it right, and who will notice and appreciate a TPM who makes their work easier and faster.
This role is an early-stage opportunity to help define what great TPM practice looks like at the intersection of many of Betterment's most technically complex domains — broker-dealer infrastructure, quantitative research, and investor-facing products — at a time when the division is executing its most ambitious roadmap yet.
You'll start by owning a focused portfolio of high-stakes initiatives, with a clear path toward broader strategic ownership as you build context and credibility across the division.
