As a Producer, you’ll lead passionate cross-functional teams in crafting creative content and incredible experiences for players around the world. By encouraging teams to collaborate, you’ll drive development, smashing through obstacles and driving products into players’ hands. You’ll exceed expectations by helping concept, deliver, improve, and influence creative projects at every stage of production.
As a Technical Producer in the Tech Foundations organization in League Studio, you will be supporting the Chemtech Services team. You will partner with Product and Engineering in the development and maintenance of backend services powering League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics. You will set team direction to ensure project objectives are met, manage the day-to-day work, be the custodian of delivery processes internal to the team, and ensure that collaboration with external teams runs smoothly. You will oversee delivery, build work systems, manage product backlogs, maintain project execution, and provide business unit leadership with visibility on complex deliverables. You will also ensure the team works at a sustainable pace and continuously improves. You will report to the Manager of Technical Production on Chemtech Services.
Responsibilities:
- Run day-to-day team production operations and development processes for the team
- Facilitate the team in making clear, actionable commitments, and ensure successful delivery through effective project management, leveraging available data and tools
- Troubleshoot delivery risks by reviewing release plans and team roadmaps, identifying optimization opportunities
- Own the work system for the team (rituals, tracking, reporting, and partner management)
- Work with engineers to understand technical risks and complications, communicating these effectively to stakeholders and dependency teams
- Advocate for and clearly communicate the product direction set by your Product partner
- Partner with Engineering and Product leads to resource projects, monitor team health, and align on team composition, ensuring the team is set up to deliver against priorities successfully
- Proactively contribute ideas across teams and disciplines, expanding impact beyond your immediate area of ownership
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience with strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Producer, Product Manager, or Development Manager on medium to large teams working on complex technical problems
- Experience applying Agile and Lean development processes such as Scrum, Kanban, or Extreme Programming
- Experience managing the priority of team and product backlogs, writing user stories, and leading estimation and scoping
- Knowledgeable in Jira use, configuration, and limitations
- Experience working in a continuous delivery/deployment environment
- Skilled at managing diverse stakeholders, building alignment across teams, and navigating complex organizational dynamics to move initiatives forward in an environment with multiple priorities and perspectives
- Understand product management and how to navigate around constraints while finding balanced solutions
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working with teams building software for backend services
- Experience working with SRE, DevOps, or software operations engineering teams
