League Studio is the entity within Riot Games that makes League of Legends, Wild Rift, Teamfight Tactics, and Legends of Runeterra, along with other games in development. To support the aspirations of these games, the Studio makes significant investments in developing and advancing the game platform through the Tech Foundations organization.
League Data Central is a team within Tech Foundations accountable for machine learning, data products, data capture, and data warehousing and governance for League Studio. Our mission is to harness the power of data for player-centric decisions and AI/ML products that make it better to be a player.
As the Technical Producer for League Data Central, you will help implement the vision and strategy, and partner with the product team on executing key data initiatives. Your background in Program Management combined with your expertise in AI/ML will support the advancement of data capabilities, guiding Data informed decision-making and fostering program innovation in partnership with game teams. You will report to the Sr. Manager, Technical Production of League Data Central.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the team in making clear, actionable commitments, and ensure successful delivery through effective project management
- Troubleshoot delivery risks by reviewing release plans and team roadmaps, identifying optimization opportunities
- Own the work system for both the team and the leadership team, including rituals, tracking, reporting, and partner management
- Advocate for and clearly communicate the product direction set by your product partner.
- Partner with the Engineering Manager and Product Lead to develop a per project resourcing strategy to execute against the team’s priorities
- Proactively contribute ideas across teams and disciplines, expanding impact beyond your immediate area of ownership
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field; or equivalent experience with technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Producer, Product Manager, or Development Manager on medium to large teams working on complex data technical problems
- Experience leading software engineering teams by setting up effective work systems, improving team performance and health, and delivering successful projects, with a proven track record collaborating on backend service development and partnering with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and other specialists to build and deliver impactful data products
- Experience applying Agile and Lean development process and practices
- Experience managing the priority of team and product backlogs, writing user stories, and leading estimation and scoping
- Experience working in a continuous delivery/deployment environment

- Experience working with game teams building platform systems, game features, or game experiences
