Strategic Program Manager, Global Public Affairs

As the Strategic Program Manager for Roblox’s Global Public Affairs team, you will play a key role organizing, operationalizing, and implementing key systems and policies for Roblox’s Public Affairs team. You are a detail-oriented, process driven public affairs professional whose experience is a blend of hands-on operational management and high-level strategic counsel on public policy issues. You translate broad corporate goals into actionable plans and ensure a unified approach within the public affairs team and its partners.

In this role, you will work directly with the VP of Global Public Affairs on developing goals and OKRs, managing budget, and coordinating strategic internal processes for public affairs. In the past, you've developed and implemented engagement strategies with stakeholders ranging from internal teams to important policy stakeholders and their staffs. Your deep understanding of global public affairs, dexterity with managing complex projects, and coordinating with diverse global teams will be an asset to our Public Affairs team.

Role reports to VP, Global Affairs and based in our San Mateo, CA office 

You will:

• Help to drive the VP Global Affair’s vision and strategy, and ensure it is carried out
• Lead or partner on special projects across all areas of the company
• Manage, plan, and facilitate senior leadership meetings, offsites, and executive travel - helping to formulate the topics to cover, building and advising agendas, guiding the discussion, bringing together notes and action items, and following up as appropriate
• Drive OKR (goal) process and help ensure that team members understand key priorities and long term vision
• Maintain key calendars, processes, End of Quarter presentations, and manage budget process – creating a comprehensive view of the operational mechanics of the organization
• Proactively identify gaps and inefficiencies across the business and provide solutions/recommendations
• Research ideas generated in conversations with the VP Global Public Affairs and crystallize them into presentations for senior leadership
• Oversee key communications and reporting across all levels of the organization to drive impactful internal and external messaging and content.
• Build relationships across the organization to help move ideas forward and fully understand the health of the business and our people.
• Work closely with the VP to prioritize, focus and prepare for internal and external meetings

You Have:

• 6+ years of experience working with public affairs teams and stakeholders, with a preference for fast-paced environments such as tech or business and a proven ability to drive strategic initiatives and operational excellence.
• Excellent analytical, quantitative reasoning, and critical thinking skills with the ability to judge situations accurately and quickly, grasping complexities, identifying key issues, and applying sound judgment. You balance the demands of short-term execution with long-term value creation and understand the broader goals of the business and make decisions accordingly
• A high EQ with significant experience and comfort forging strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
• An ability to thrive in ambiguity and dynamic environments performing at your best when new information, projects, and decisions come at you fast. Working with velocity and flexibility is your preferred approach
• Energy and inspire others to action – you’re unafraid to reach out proactively and autonomously when something needs to get done
• Extensive experience in intelligence collection and analysis, strategy development, project management, cross-functional partnership
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
