Key Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement high-quality front-end solutions using Next.js, ensuring optimal performance, accessibility, and maintainability.
- Lead strong TypeScript standards across the codebase, enforcing strict typing, robust object models, and clean architectural patterns.
- Implement SEO-focused development including schema.org, structured data, metadata optimization, and best practices for discoverability.
- Ensure responsive design principles across complex UI components and user journeys.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, Backend Engineering) to translate requirements into high-impact features.
- Participate in code reviews, mentor engineers, and elevate the overall technical bar for the team.
- Support limited backend efforts when required, ensuring seamless integration between front-end and backend services.
- Advocate for engineering excellence, performance optimization, and modern development best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across the application lifecycle.
Must-have Skills
- Expert-level proficiency in Next.js, with proven experience delivering complex, high-performing production applications.
- Advanced TypeScript skills, with strict typing discipline and strong experience creating reliable type-safe object models.
- Strong foundation in responsive UI design, performance optimization, and scalable front-end architecture.
- Experience implementing SEO schema, structured data markup, and SEO-oriented development practices.
- Strong understanding of modern JavaScript/TypeScript libraries, rendering strategies (SSR/SSG/ISR), and front-end ecosystem patterns.
- Solid knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, code quality standards, and agile methodologies.
Nice-to-have
- Experience working with backend or full-stack environments (light backend responsibilities).
- Knowledge of Redis and PostgreSQL, particularly regarding performance optimization scenarios.
- Familiarity with cloud-based applications, distributed systems, and modern DevOps practices.
- Experience contributing to architectural decisions, technical direction, and long-term scalability strategies.
- Experience with AI tooling to enhance development workflows, testing, documentation, and productivity.
