Clever is looking for a Senior People Business Partner - Talent Development to join our People Team. Clever’s People team is dedicated to fostering an equitable organization where everyone can grow and thrive. As a Senior People Business Partner - Talent Development, you’ll be responsible for high-leverage strategic support of your assigned orgs, as well as for managing company-wide talent development programs. You will be a key member of a high-performing, collaborative team, driving critical programs for our employees and serving as a valued partner to leaders.
A DAY IN THE LIFE:
Strategic Business Partner to GTM teams:
- Partner with functional leaders to develop high-performing teams and execute people strategies aligned with business goals.
- Provide guidance on organizational design, talent management, and employee relations.
- Coach managers on best practices in performance management, conflict resolution, and engagement.
- Lead talent reviews, calibrations, and compensation planning, using data to identify trends and drive improvements.
- Manage employee relations for assigned orgs.
- Use data to uncover trends and recommend improvements.
- Support leaders with change management initiatives.
Company-wide Talent Development Leadership
- Design and execute Clever’s long-term talent development and culture strategy aligned to business goals.
- Lead performance and talent management processes, ensuring measurable progress on culture, engagement, and career development goals.
- Curate and deliver company-wide learning programs, manager enablement, and leadership development content.
- Drive a high-performance culture and accountability to best practices for performance management.
- Drive culture change and psychological safety initiatives; support ERGs, the Belonging Leadership Committee, and inclusion-informed decision-making.
- Evolve Clever’s employee value proposition and recognition programs to enhance engagement and retention.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- 7+ years of experience in Human Resources/People Operations, with specific expertise in performance management, talent development, and culture
- Strong business acumen and ability to take a big picture view and make recommendations that align with long-term organizational goals.
- Deep change leadership experience
- The ability to coach, mentor, and influence leaders and employees to drive business results and talent development.
- Ability to balance being “in the weeds” on operational projects and working on high-impact strategic initiatives
- Comfort with HR metrics, analysis and dashboards
- Proven ability to translate strategy into scalable programs with measurable impact
- Deep sense of empathy and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across diverse groups
- Experience in employee relations
- Experience with inclusion & belonging programming a plus

SALARY TRANSPARENCY:
The range of our base salary cash compensation for this role for candidates living in the United States, besides NYC and San Francisco, CA, is between $127,000 - $180,000. For candidates living in NYC and San Francisco, CA is between $140,000-$198,000. All final offers are determined using multiple factors including experience and level of expertise.
