We're looking for an experienced and autonomous Senior Paralegal to support a high-volume, fast-moving litigation docket. This role is primarily focused on litigation support, with meaningful responsibility for litigation operations and reporting. The person in this role will manage substantive paralegal work across a range of matters — including case management, discovery coordination, legal holds, subpoenas, and related litigation support — while also helping improve the processes, tools, and workflows that support the team's effectiveness and scale.
The ideal candidate brings curiosity, a growth mindset, and a willingness to learn quickly in new or unfamiliar areas, alongside strong judgment, a high degree of ownership, and a creative, solutions-oriented approach. They are motivated by continuous improvement and by finding better ways to support the team as litigation processes, tools, and priorities evolve. They are energized by litigation work and by helping attorneys translate complex facts and process into organized, actionable support. They can execute high-quality litigation support work while also creating structure, maintaining critical operating systems and resources, and owning recurring litigation operations work that helps the team function effectively at scale.
What you'll do:
- Manage a portfolio of litigation and pre-litigation matters, maintaining organized case files, calendars, and documentation.
- Support case management from intake through resolution, including matter tracking, file management, status updates, and concise matter summaries for attorneys.
- Serve as a key point of contact with outside counsel on case logistics, deadlines, pleadings, filings, and status reporting.
- Own and independently manage key litigation support workflows related to fact development and discovery, including document collections, technical data gathering, review coordination, production tracking, and related documentation.
- Coordinate legal holds, preservation workflows, and custodian outreach in partnership with eDiscovery and cross-functional teams.
- Manage subpoenas, third-party requests, and related intake and response tracking.
- Support deposition, hearing, arbitration, and trial preparation.
- Support invoice review and matter budgeting in partnership with Legal Operations and Finance, including identifying anomalies, trends, and process improvement opportunities.
- Own recurring litigation reporting and maintain visibility into matter volume, spend, key risks, and trends.
- Build and improve litigation dashboards, trackers, and reporting infrastructure that increase visibility, consistency, and scalability across the team.
- Produce Board-ready and exec-ready reporting materials, including decks, narratives, one-pagers, and talking points that clearly communicate risk, trends, and outcomes.
- Partner with Legal Operations, Finance, and other stakeholders to improve intake, reporting, and outside counsel management processes.
- Develop and maintain litigation knowledge resources, playbooks, SOPs, templates, and internal reference materials that improve consistency, reuse, and operational efficiency across the team.
- Develop and improve AI-enabled workflows, prompt templates, and other repeatable tools that increase efficiency, consistency, and scalability across litigation and operational work.
- Identify high-impact opportunities to use AI and automation to streamline recurring tasks such as summarization, first-pass drafting, reporting support, operational documentation, and matter tracking.
What we're looking for:
- 5+ years of relevant litigation paralegal experience in a law firm, in-house, or similarly complex legal environment.
- Deep familiarity with litigation lifecycle management, including discovery coordination, legal holds, subpoenas, and outside counsel management.
- Hands-on experience using legal hold platforms, matter management systems, eDiscovery tools, eBilling systems, and other legal technology to manage litigation workflows.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple matters, prioritize effectively, and drive progress across stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, and exceptional attention to detail, including strong proofreading, formatting, and quality-control skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and translate legal requests into practical next steps for cross-functional stakeholders, including technical and operational partners.
- Demonstrated ownership mindset, including the ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and improve processes proactively.
- Comfort learning and using new tools in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Experience creating polished reporting, dashboards, decks, and concise narrative updates for senior stakeholders.
- Experience across a diverse litigation docket, including intellectual property or other technically complex matters, is a plus.
- Experience building or improving operational processes, templates, or playbooks.
- Experience applying AI tools to improve workflow efficiency and quality.
- Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred.
