As a Senior Manager, Game Production on an unpublished R&D project, you will spearhead our external development strategy and lead delivery for our external pipelines. You will serve as the architect of our external development ecosystem, establishing standards and mentoring producers on best practices for co-development and outsourcing. You will be the custodian of our partner relationships, ensuring every vendor selection is strategic and collaboration is structured for long-term success. Through clear tracking, transparent reporting and alignment on goals, you will build confidence with stakeholders while reporting directly to the Director of Game Production.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end delivery lifecycle for external teams, ensuring content and features meet our high-quality bars
  • Act as a "producer for producers," teaching best-in-class external development workflows and raising the operational ceiling of the entire production craft
  • Serve as the strategic bridge between external partners and internal discipline leads across Art, Audio and Engineering, ensuring vendors receive the creative guidance and technical specifications needed to deliver the vision
  • Drive the vendor selection process, from initial vetting and RFPs to onboarding and integration
  • Design the communication frameworks and feedback loops that ensure our external partners feel like an extension of the internal team
  • Provide clear and accurate visibility into project status and forecasts, enabling teams and stakeholders to make informed decisions
  • Partner with Production and Discipline Leadership to own financial planning and budget accountability for external development, including forecasting, vendor allocation and ensuring spend aligns with production priorities and goals

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of professional experience as a game producer
  • 4+ years in a leadership position, working directly on game production
  • Experience leading teams through the entire lifecycle (prototype, discovery, delivery, live)
  • Experience coordinating live games development and operations
  • Experience managing development at the team-of-teams scale with 150+ developers, including internal and external contributors
  • Experience defining external development strategies that scale production capacity while maintaining quality and creative alignment
  • Experience managing multi-organization efforts requiring success through influence and craft

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with production tools like JIRA to track development and create reporting

For this role, you'll find success through craft expertise, a collaborative spirit, and decision-making that prioritizes the delight of players. We will be looking at your past studies, experience, and your personal relationship with games. If you embody player empathy and care about players' experiences, this could be your role!

Our Perks:

Riot focuses on work/life balance, shown by our open paid time off policy and other perks such as flexible work schedules.
