About the Role
Nuro is looking for a commercially focused strategy and partnerships professional with a background in management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or a similarly analytically rigorous environment.
This role is well-suited for someone early to mid-career, typically around five or more years of experience, who has developed strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills and is looking to apply them in an operating role. While the role involves working on partnerships and commercial opportunities, it is not traditional relationship-driven business development. The emphasis is on strategy, structured analysis, and thoughtful execution with a small number of critical partners.
About the Work
- Identify and evaluate high-impact commercial opportunities using rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Develop structured frameworks to define target customers, partnership models, and market entry strategies
- Build and maintain a high-quality funnel of potential partners, including companies that may not be actively pursuing BD conversations
- Support deal structuring, financial analysis, and negotiations for complex, bespoke partnerships
- Partner closely with engineering and product teams to align customer needs with technical capabilities and roadmap priorities
- Coordinate cross-functional diligence activities (e.g., technical workshops, technical demonstrations, commercial/product roadmapping) in service of deal development and closing
- Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer behavior to inform commercial strategy
- Prepare clear, executive-ready materials that communicate recommendations, tradeoffs, and deal rationale, for internal review and external deliverables
About You
- Approximately 5+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or a similarly rigorous analytical role
- Strong strategic problem-solving skills, including the ability to decompose ambiguous problems and synthesize clear recommendations
- Ability to quickly learn and clearly articulate technical concepts.
- Experience supporting or executing complex commercial agreements or transactions
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; experienced in representing technical and commercial concepts to a wide range of stakeholders
- Analytical and structured, with the ability to translate data and complex ideas into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and taking ownership to drive work forward with speed and quality
- Highly organized with proven program management skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, finance, and legal teams
- Bachelors degree required, advanced technical degree or MBA preferred
Bonus Points
- Technical education or experience in software, technology, autonomous systems, automotive consulting, or complex deal structures
- Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field is a plus
- MBA from a top university preferred but not required
At Nuro, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected base pay range is between $145,830 and $219,000 for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package.
