Location: Singapore (Remote)

Reddit is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Legal Removal Policy Specialist to support Reddit’s Legal Removals Policy team (LRP) within the Trust & Safety Policy (TSP) function. LRP works on a wide range of content and regulatory issues that help the platform and Reddit communities grow by keeping users safe, defending their rights to free expression and privacy, advocating for meaningful transparency, and handling complex legal requests from around the world.

We’re looking for a seasoned professional with at least 3+ years of relevant experience in Trust & Safety, specifically handling copyright, trademark, and other IP-related legal removal requests. You will join our growing team in APAC and work with different teams across the company to tackle complex challenges, and use your drive, experience, and proactive approach to make a big impact on Reddit’s rapidly-growing international business.

What You’ll Do:

  • Expertly handle third party copyright and trademark requests, applying high standards of care and attention to detail.
  • Handle sensitive, sometimes urgent internal escalations with poise, excellent judgment, and clear communication. 
  • Identify and communicate trends and synthesize customer/partner feedback to influence program & team objectives. Bring your analysis to a level that can be shared with senior stakeholders, focusing on insights.
  • Proactively take ownership of assigned work/projects from conception to completion, while actively seeking feedback and proactively communicating about progress.
  • Review existing processes and make recommendations for impactful and right-sized solutions and efficiency gains. 
  • Leverage tools and training models to enhance policy enforcement, and work closely with product and policy teams to support the development and refinement of these tools at Reddit.
  • Work cross-functionally with Legal,  Safety, Community, and Engineering teams to efficiently carry out your responsibilities.
  • You will join the Trust & Safety Policy global Emergency Disclosure Requests (EDRs) and Emergency Removal Requests (ERRs) rotation that requires on-call work.
  • NOTE: You may be exposed to violent, graphic, sexually-explicit, and/or offensive content; Reddit offers a variety of wellness and support programs to help employees who work on this type of challenging content.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years directly relevant APAC work experience, specifically handling global legal requests and escalations regarding intellectual property issues in APAC.
  • Required: Native Indonesian and/or Hindi language expertise. Additional language proficiencies, Japanese, Arabic or Dutch, would be a plus.  
  • XFN experience working with other Trust & Safety issues (in addition to IP) is a strong plus. For example, content moderation experience, experience reviewing illegal content reports from users, experience handling government/law enforcement removal requests, NSFW content experience).
  • Excellent communicator with experience collaborating and bringing alignment across multiple functions. 
  • Proactive, motivated self-starter who thrives in unstructured environments; and is able to work and make informed decisions independently.
  • Strong writing and project management skills. 
  • Data-driven approach to problem-solving.
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Prior experience in a global team and working across time zones with flexibility on working hours.

In select roles and locations, the interviews will be recorded, and transcribed and summarized by artificial intelligence (AI). You will have the opportunity to opt out recording, transcription and summarization prior to any scheduled interviews.
