The Opportunity

The Client Platform team is seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to our Client Platform ecosystem that empowers both internal engineering teams and external developers. You'll work on foundational components, libraries and tooling that enable our teams to deliver exceptional experiences to our 40+ million customers. What You'll Do

The Client Platform team is a global engineering organization responsible for creating a "paved path" for all Postmanauts to develop and release web-based applications. Our platform is the foundation that hundreds of engineers at Postman rely on daily to deliver new features and improvements to over 40 million customers. We manage everything from build tooling and shared libraries to development infrastructure, best practices and our cross-platform desktop application.

Specifically you will:

  • Technical Execution: Write and maintain high-quality, well-tested code with a focus on shipping working solutions quickly, implementing features following established architectural patterns and taking ownership of feature delivery from concept to production.
  • Collaboration & Learning: Work effectively within the team to deliver on commitments, participate in design discussions with a focus on practical, implementable solutions, and seek mentorship while maintaining momentum on deliverables.
  • Quality & Standards: Follow established testing practices for components and integration points, ensure code meets team quality standards for performance, accessibility, security, and maintainability, and proactively identify and address problems before they impact users.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Support team documentation efforts and contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives that help other engineers understand and effectively use our SDK components.

About You

Core Requirements

  • Experience: 2+ years of production-level software development
  • Technical Foundation: Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and modern web fundamentals
  • Proven exposure to reusable libraries and SDKs: Hands-on experience with client-side libraries, API integration patterns, and developer tools. A background in reusable libraries, design systems, or SDK development will accelerate your impact on the team.

Nice-to-have:

  • Familiarity with build tools and development workflows (webpack, vite, etc.)
  • Understanding of cross-platform development concepts (Electron or similar)
  • Previous experience in developer tools or API-related products
