About the team
The KR SDET team develops test automation frameworks and tools used to ensure the quality of projects such as ACR (Automatic Content Recognition) which helps elevating the TV user experience to the next level by allowing content Interactivity, Measurement and Targeting.
In this role, you will work in collaboration with both the KR SDET team and the Embedded SW Auto & Tools team, based in the US, to help design and develop automation pipelines that can be used company-wide to implement efficient test strategies.

Our new Software Engineer in Test, based in Seoul (South Korea), will be contributing extensively to design, develop, and maintain robust test frameworks, tools and strategies across various teams and projects. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, your extensive experience in test automation will drive the implementation of efficient testing processes. What you will be doing
- Design, develop and maintain automation frameworks and tools to streamline the testing process across teams and projects
- Contribute to tools and technology
- Debug failing tests to improve the quality of automated test tools and frameworks
- Conduct code reviews for improve code quality and optimization
- Promote coding conventions and standards for code re-usability and cleanliness
- Assist in monitoring and maintenance of critical systems
- Proactively suggest features and tools to implement and improve testing strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement CI/CD pipelines for various software projects
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to test automation and CI/CD
We're excited if you have
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with automation systems
- 2+ years of programming experience, preferably with Python
- 2+ years of experience developing test plans and test cases
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related
- Expert level debugging skills
- Knowledge of continuous integration tools (Jenkins/Hudson, TeamCity, Maven, Gradle)
- Hands on experience and proficiency in Linux/Unix systems
- Hands on AWS experience
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Mentoring less experienced Engineers and driving automation development
- A self-directed professional able to work independently
- Experience working with remote teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Fluency in English, both oral and written
- Additionally:
- Hands-on experience with BDD methodology
- Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker is a plus
- Previous experience with Non-Functional Testing (Performance Testing, Stress Testing)
- Knowledge of network technologies and libraries such as TCP/IP and HTTP
- Knowledge of media formats and adaptive streaming standards like HLS and Dash
- Knowledge of DRM technologies like Widevine and PlayReady
