Get to know Okta
Okta is The World’s Identity Company. We free everyone to safely use any technology, anywhere, on any device or app. Our flexible and neutral products, Okta Platform and Auth0 Platform, provide secure access, authentication, and automation, placing identity at the core of business security and growth.
At Okta, we celebrate a variety of perspectives and experiences. We are not looking for someone who checks every single box - we’re looking for lifelong learners and people who can make us better with their unique experiences.
Join our team! We’re building a world where Identity belongs to you.
The design team
We’re a distributed team of designers who share work early, give each other honest feedback, and keep things collaborative. We care about making complex ideas clear and approachable, whether that’s through product design, research, or strong visual storytelling.
Designers here have real ownership. We partner closely with engineering, product, and marketing to influence direction and create experiences that reach millions of people worldwide.
Some days we’re refining a diagram or illustration to explain a tricky concept, other days we’re creating visuals for new AI-driven features or developer marketing campaigns. We use async tools like Loom and Figma comments to stay connected across time zones, and we make space to experiment and grow. As a Visual Designer, you’ll shape the look and feel of how we communicate emerging products, bringing clarity and craft to everything from diagrams to marketing assets.
The opportunity
You’ll join our Emerging Products team at Auth0, focused on building and scaling the next wave of identity and security capabilities. Our work explores areas such as AI, fine-grained authorization, and developer experience, and we partner closely with Developer Marketing to share these innovations with the world.
As a Visual Designer, you’ll help shape how developers and customers experience Auth0’s innovation story. You’ll bring clarity and trust to complex ideas through visuals for product launches, campaigns, events, and technical documentation. Some days you’ll design diagrams and system visuals, other days you’ll craft developer-native graphics like code snippets or CLI-inspired assets. You’ll also have room to experiment with AI-driven design tools and new approaches to storytelling.

-

What We’re Looking For
-
3+ years of experience as a visual, marketing, or brand designer.
-
Strong portfolio showcasing visual design, illustration, and storytelling skills.
-
Proficiency with tools such as Figma, Illustrator, and Photoshop, plus curiosity about AI design tools like Midjourney, Runway, or Figma AI features.
-
Ability to distill complex technical ideas into clear, approachable visuals.
-
Collaborative and proactive, with experience working across product, design, and marketing teams.
-
Strong sense of visual craft, including typography, layout, color, and composition.

Experience designing for developer or technical audiences.
