The Opportunity                                                                                      

Flexport’s IT organization is​ looking for a passionate, results oriented Infrastructure Technical Program Manager with solid technology understanding. In this role you will manage the delivery of complex IT Office and Warehouse Infrastructure projects in a diverse environment with multiple stakeholders and multiple resource pools.  You will also project manage various IT functions/processes throughout the business.

You must be able to initiate and manage programs and dependencies via solid understanding of the IT objectives and the related Network and IT platform technologies, communicate clearly among stakeholders and team members, and have a consistent track record of delivery. You are proactive in creating program vision and roadmap, developing and following through on project plans, identifying program/project headwinds, facilitating resolutions, and can handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. You are able to curate and present relevant data and articulate extremely complex technical dependencies to facilitate informed decision making during escalations.

You should have               

  • 8+ years of project management experience leading information technology projects, including requesting / securing approval to start projects through project closeout
  • 5+ years of experience of implementing technology solutions in a start up environment
  • Mastery of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management including tools and techniques (e.g., project planning, risk/issue management, governance, cost/benefit analysis, project change controls)
  • Developing and managing budgets across multiple projects
  • Vendor management
  • Ability to facilitate working sessions with large, cross-functional teams (business, clinical, technical)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Experience mentoring junior staff
  • Able to intelligently and succinctly articulate the significance of the challenges we are facing, and understands how projects within the subportfolio will alleviate these issues
  • Exceptional and adaptive written and oral communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel from Executive level to frontline staff
  • Creative, self-confident, and flexible

What you’ll need:

  • Ability to travel throughout the US, Europe and APAC as needed.
  • Understanding of physical IT Infrastructure (power and cooling requirements, copper and fiber cabling, LAN/WAN connectivity, wireless access points, access switches, firewalls)
  • Understanding of AV devices and infrastructure (Poly, Neat, Logitech, Zoom, Teams, Meet)
  • Understanding of the interdependencies between construction activities and different IT systems and solutions
  • Ability to identify the different stakeholders of the internal IT teams and engage them in timely manner during the design and implementation of construction projects (new office and warehouse builds)
  • Ability to understand discussions during OAC coordination meetings and identify the impact of other trades on IT infrastructure.
  • Ability to coordinate with other trades during design and implementation of the IT infrastructure.
  • Ability to manage multiple IT infrastructure projects during construction.

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the posting's respective region. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range displayed, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and / or training. 
The US base salary range for this position (this does not include bonus, equity and benefits):
$105,600$132,000 USD
