Senior Technical Product Manager, League Studio - Data Enablement

As a Product Manager, you’ll lead passionate cross-functional teams to create innovative internal and external tools that unlock Riot’s ability to deliver player value. By leading engineers, you’ll drive development, smash through obstacles, and push projects across the finish-line. You’ll meet and exceed expectations by helping concept, deliver, enhance, and influence projects at every stage of production. You’ll do all of this in service of an ambitious transformation of Riot’s company infrastructure into a highly adaptable, efficient and effective machine that multiplies Riot’s ability to deliver player value.
As a Senior Technical Product Manager (TPM) at Riot, you will combine technical expertise, product leadership, and industry knowledge to deliver essential features and systems. As the TPM for Data Enablement in Tech Foundations, you will define the product vision, direction, and strategy that empower our game teams in League Studios to harness the power of data for player-centric decisions and products that make it better to be a player.
In this role, you will be accountable for data products, data capture, and data warehousing and governance for League Studio. Your leadership in data and product strategy will guide the advancement of Riot’s data capabilities—supporting informed decision-making and enabling product innovation in close partnership with game teams.
League Studio developers will rely on your products across the entire game development lifecycle—from concept through delivery and ongoing support. You will define product requirements and success metrics, clearly articulate the customer value proposition, and ensure a seamless onboarding and adoption experience.
Responsibilities:
- Craft and champion a vision, strategy, and roadmap to support Insights and game teams in better understanding the holistic player experience
- Define and align on annual objectives and KPIs for your product area, setting clear expectations for quantifiable impact, accountability, and secure buy-in from stakeholders through influence and partnership
- Manage technical complexity, validating requirements and designs for data-intensive projects, and communicating technical tradeoffs to a non-technical audience
- Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, adeptly anticipating future challenges and orchestrating multi-team responses to meet the evolving needs of our players and development teams
- Develop an understanding of and empathy data consumer customers
- Partner and collaborate with Engineering (data engineers, software engineers, and machine learning engineers), Data Science (data scientists), and Production (product and delivery) to align the product and technical plans
- Build relationships with partner teams across Riot Games including clear customer and partner communications
- Develop and maintain Service Level Agreements and goals with all core customers
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in data product management or related data-focused roles
- 4+ years of product management experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field), or equivalent experience with strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
- Excellent collaboration, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences, fostering alignment and understanding
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in the games industry
- Experience building software for internal users
- Experience working on live games or globally scaled services
