As a Senior Technical Producer on the MMO R&D team, you will be accountable for ensuring the successful delivery on a broad and impactful set of MMO Core Technologies. You will work with Engineering and Tech Art to deliver world class pipelines and champion developer efficiencies that will allow us to bring modern experiences to players for years. You will work with central teams across Riot to evolve our technical capabilities and ensure a successful delivery of the project. Given the technical nature of the group’s work, a successful candidate combines a technical background with a broad production methodology toolkit. You will report to the Director of Technical Product Management on the team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee technology progress for the Core Tech and Creative Pipeline Teams
- Provide vision, roadmap, and delivery leadership for development efficiency and technical readiness of the project
- Partner with game leadership and central tech teams to define technical requirements for new platform features.
- Partner with central technology product leaders to translate game needs into actionable backlogs for central teams and assess central offerings for their fit against the game's needs, driving alignment and reprioritization when necessary.
- Help drive cohesive and granular deliverables across key pieces of MMO Tech and Creative Pipelines.
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in senior technical production, technical product management, or engineering leadership roles within the games industry.
- You have shipped AAA games in a production or product leadership capacity on PC or console.
- Experience with the full lifecycle of live service games, from pre-production through launch and live operations.
- Experience managing competing priorities to deliver the right value for customers
- Experience working directly with engineering teams to define technical requirements, manage backlogs, and drive a product from concept to completion.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience with strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and understanding of basic programming concepts
- Experience driving work in matrixed teams and complex organizational structures.
- Development experience with UE5
- Experience leading highly technical teams that collaborate with Design and Art.
