Senior Systems Engineer

About the role

Our team is looking for someone with the passion and skills to support the evolution of our technical infrastructure operations as part of the Security team.. A specific focus will be on defining processes and implementing technology to support technical infrastructure operations with a focus on our internal customer experience. This role will be responsible for ensuring we are designing and evolving technologies in consideration of employee needs, supporting long-range strategy, cross-functional projects, and initiatives across Crunchyroll globally. This role will require a strong partnership across Crunchyroll’s teams, including Legal, Engineering, IT, People, Workplace Experience, Trust & Safety, as well as third-party contractors and suppliers.

About You

• You have 10+ years of experience in Information Security or Information Technology, implementing and supporting technical infrastructure solutions
• You are able to implement, configure, and maintain
• Network Devices
• Vulnerability Management Platforms
• Physical Servers
• Virtualized Environments, including Cloud
• You have experience in environments with Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems
• You are focused on excellence in all aspects of internal customer experience
• You have experience as an administrator for IT platforms and tools
• You have experience with IAM best practices and administration
• You have a strong fundamental understanding of security best practices
• You have the ability to learn new technologies and concepts quickly and apply that knowledge effectively
• You have the ability to troubleshoot complex problems
• You are data-driven and have a strong attention to detail
• You have the ability to communicate complex issues to a wide audience, from technical staff to management
• You have demonstrated experience maintaining effective working relationships across all levels of an organization and with a variety of external constituents
• You approach work with a positive and collaborative attitude
• You are curious and want to grow in a dynamic, security-focused environment

• You have experience with cloud environments such as GCP or AWS 
• You have a BS in Computer Science or a related field, or have equivalent experience

A Day in The Life 

• Working with a focus on level-up security and technical operations at Crunchyroll
• Supporting and improving processes related to the Vulnerability Management Program
• You have experience with the installation, support, and maintenance of hardware and software infrastructure according to best practices, including network devices, servers, patching, and enterprise software deployment.
• You are accountable for and perform network security integration and maintenance.
• You diagnose problems and solve issues, often under time constraints.
• You provide network and host-based security, incident response, firewall, and VPN management and administration
• You assist in the development of guidelines and procedures for administration and security best practices.
• You provide detailed and up-to-date network documentation.
• You demonstrate experience in Microsoft AD, Azure, and cloud-based services.
