The Role

Anaplan is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Mobile to join our Experience Engineering workstream. You will be a key member of a team dedicated to building and scaling our platform for a mobile-first world. This is a unique opportunity to solve the complex challenges of delivering our award-winning planning technology on mobile devices. As Anaplan continues its strong growth, providing a world-class mobile experience is a key strategic priority.

We are looking for an exceptional and passionate engineer who believes in simplicity, agility, and performance. In this role, you will architect the systems, build the features, and establish the best practices that enable Anaplan to deliver a seamless, intuitive, and powerful mobile experience to our customers.

Your Impact

Architect, build, and own the React Native application and the infrastructure required for a high-quality, scalable mobile experience.
Directly enhance the experience for our mobile users, making our platform more intuitive, accessible, and powerful on the go.
Work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure new features are designed and built with a mobile-first mindset from the start.
Develop and maintain the CI/CD pipeline for our mobile applications, automating testing and release processes for both iOS and Android.
Solve complex technical challenges in a mobile environment, including performance optimization, offline storage, and creating flexible UIs that adapt to various screen sizes.
Serve as a subject matter expert on mobile development, providing guidance and setting standards for teams across the engineering organization.
Write tests at every level of the testing pyramid (unit, integration, end-to-end) to ensure the quality and reliability of the mobile application.

Core Qualifications

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to craft well-architected, scalable, and easy-to-maintain systems.
Solid core understanding and deep expertise in React Native, JavaScript (ES2015+), and TypeScript.
A collaborative mindset with the ability to build consensus and guide technical decisions with empathy and clarity.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, specifically AWS EC2, for deploying and managing applications.

Helpful Experience

Proven expertise in building, shipping, and maintaining a large-scale enterprise SaaS application using React Native.
Experience with native mobile development (Swift/Objective-C for iOS or Kotlin/Java for Android) is a major plus.
Familiarity with adapting front-end architecture to support mobile platforms and the complexities of mobile user interfaces.
Experience with mobile app deployment to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Expertise in writing scalable backend microservices; experience with the JVM (Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot) is a major plus.
