As a Senior Software Engineer, Data Platform, you will report into the Engineering Manager of Data Platform. This team is responsible for the data use of the entire Roblox, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining a platform that supports the success of 100MM+ daily and 300MM+ monthly users.
You Will:
- Be able to shape the data usage patterns across the entire company through a well-governed data platform.

- Stay current with emerging technologies and push innovation in data across Roblox.
You Have:
- 5+ years experience in building a platform for data engineers and scientists, in at least one domain: product analytics and experimentation, discovery and catalog, data quality/O11y, governance and access control.
- Extensive experience with AWS and/or on-prem with relevant technology such as Python, Spark, Hive, K8s, Iceberg, Flink.
- Strong problem solving skills, and love fast paced, impact driven execution.

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page.
Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
