Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Location Details: 

At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time; others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.​

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

Contribute to the development of GoDaddy’s eCommerce and SSO infrastructure and Kubernetes systems on AWS. On a day-to-day basis you will be working on the team who designs, writes, tests and deploys the infrastructure and application management software for GoDaddy’s eCommerce applications.  Expect to learn every day. 

What you'll get to do...

• Become an expert on newer technologies surrounding Kubernetes, Reverse Proxies, Service Mesh, AWS, and distributed systems 
• Be a polyglot. Write and maintain code in multiple languages
• Build complex workflows of infrastructure builds on Argo Workflows 
• Build GitOps application pipelines using many technologies like Argo CD 
• Work with our eCommerce feature teams to help them release new infrastructure and applications 

Your experience should include...

• 6+ years of experience on Kubernetes with Helm, Kustomize or equivalent
• 6+ years of software development experience, along with experience in continuous deployments (CD) and AWS
• Experience with high-volume mission-critical production systems 
• Strong experience in infrastructure as code
• Experience in ELK (ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana)

You might also have...

• Expertise in diverse storage technologies such as Cassandra, DynamoDB, and SQL systems
• Practical knowledge of security best practices and authentication technologies
• Hands-on familiarity with a wide range of cloud and DevOps tools, including CloudFormation, Akamai GTM, Beats, FluentD/Fluentbit and certificate/secret rotation
• Advanced skills in Java, Bash, Git, Curl, and Unix command-line interfaces
