Senior Regulatory Reporting Analyst, LATAM
Adyen is seeking a Senior Regulatory Reporting Analyst LATAM to be based in our Sao Paulo office, which is responsible for Adyen’s Prudential and Statistical reporting in LATAM. This role reports directly into the Global Head of Reporting, part of our Amsterdam-based Group Finance Function.
It’s one of Adyen’s core responsibilities to report Prudential and Statistical data to national regulators around the globe. Adyen’s national regulators include the Dutch Central Bank (NL), the Federal Reserve (USA), and the Bank of England (UK).
As the Senior Regulatory Reporting Analyst, you will play a key role in managing Adyen’s regulatory reporting requirements in Brazil and Mexico, helping to build a connection between Adyen’s Group Finance and Risk functions and the Banco Central do Brasil (BACEN) and Comisión Nacional Bancaria y de Valores (CNBV).
Adyen obtained a Payments Institution’s license in 2023 in Brazil and the acquirer registration in 2024 in Mexico to enable its own-acquiring. As Adyen and its regulatory requirements grow, this is an unique opportunity and the perfect moment to step in and start building the Brazilian regulatory reporting function.
As part hereof, we expect you to be able to translate Brazilian and Mexican regulatory reporting requirements in the context of Adyen’s non-traditional business model and explain this in dialogue with regulators. You will be in the lead optimizing reporting processes with scale and automation in mind and take Adyen’s regulatory reporting function in LATAM to the next level.
What you’ll do
- Build the Brazilian and Mexican regulatory reporting framework
- Lead regulatory reporting projects including scoping and implementation of regulatory changes (BACEN and CNBV)
- Report directly to the Global Head of Reporting
- Strengthen the connection between the business and Group Finance / Reporting, supporting Adyen’s global strategy through its regulatory strategy
- Translate the impact of complex transactions and roll out of new products into financial and regulatory reporting for LATAM and for the Adyen Group
- Own the LATAM reporting requirement overview, communicating regularly with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely implementation and delivery
- Manage and prioritize the workload in line with the reporting requirements and other project timelines
- Drive simplification, standardization, and automation of regulatory reporting while supporting the team in the preparation of regulatory reports, such as recurring reports on capital and liquidity requirements as well as statistical reports
Who you are
- You have at least 5 years of experience with regulatory
- You have a fluent level of Portuguese and English, both written and spoken. Spanish is a must
- You have direct working experience with the BACEN and/or CNBV Regulatory Framework and the corresponding regulatory reporting from a financial institution, consultancy or Big 4 company
- You have an out-of-the box mindset and enjoy challenging the status quo, solving problems with both a global and local perspective
- You enjoy explaining complex regulatory topics to non-regulatory experts
- You have vision and a strategic mindset, but you are also connected to the daily operations
- You are hands-on in the preparation and review of regulatory reports, but can also take a step back to assess the impact of new regulations, new products and new licenses on Adyen's financial compliance landscape
- Experience in Fintech, leading automation projects and implementing a regulatory reporting process is an advantage
