Method is seeking Senior Experience Designer with a focus on AI Prompt Design. As a Senior Experience Designer, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary individuals and project leadership on service strategy and experience design projects. With your focus on Prompt Experience Design, you will work in the exciting world of conversational AI where your strategic thinking meets exciting new technologies. This role brings together many diverse talents and experiences - from framing opportunities with clients, structuring and running research activities, planning and facilitating collaborative workshops, driving concept explorations, crafting AI interactions and defining the future of our client’s products and services as they adopt and pioneer new AI interactions and solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Define and design digital service solutions with different disciplines in a highly collaborative environment
- Lead teams in the creation of artifacts including system messages and prompt templates for Generative AI models, archetypes, customer journeys, service blueprints, ecosystems, initial concepts, prototypes, and design documentation.
- Design effective conversational journeys, from sketching high-level flows right through to agreeing precise wording choices
- Work closely with clients to carry out workshops on specifying annotation schemas (labels, tags, relationships, processes and journeys)
- Contribute to the planning, conducting and interpreting of primary and secondary research to inform and validate prompt design and performance, the experience principles, user needs, strategy and direction of our client’s products and services. Research methods include stakeholder interviews and generative and evaluative customer research and concept validation.
- Conduct research to explore novel approaches, experimenting with emerging models and methodologies in Prompt Design. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in Conversational AI, Generative AI, AI Ethics, Language Engineering and Prompt engineering techniques
- Contribute to planning collaborative workshops and work sessions with internal and external teams, and lead sections as appropriate
- Offer guidance and insights to Machine Learning engineers and Data Scientists to design and refine Generative AI solutions.
- Compile and maintain list of context-specific system messages, as well as generic and domain-specific prompt templates and prompt databases
- Optimize prompt templates to achieve specific objectives, balancing naturalness and precision in generated content
- Evaluate Generative AI model outputs using established metrics and iterate on solution and prompt designs to enhance results continually
- Contribute to the creation of experience artifacts including archetypes, customer journeys, service blueprints, ecosystems, design artifacts, and presentations etc.

- Foster a culture of curiosity across design, product and technology that manifests in how projects are framed and executed.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in design research, digital strategy, interaction design or service design.
- 2+ years experience designing conversational Speech IVRs, voicebots and chatbots
- 2+ years experience capturing, documenting and communicating systems and application requirements and designs
- A portfolio that reflects your strengths in research, strategy, service design, and visual storytelling and a solid foundation in understanding the complexity and intricacies of business problems and the design process.
- Undergraduate and/or Masters Degree in Design [product, visual/interaction, architecture, industrial], Human Factors, Computational Linguistics, Linguists or equivalent professional experience
- Demonstrated success in defining, creating, and launching digital products or services
- In-depth understanding of Generative AI models, especially for text generation
- Hands-on experience with prompt creation for Generative AI models
- Experience with machine learning concepts, algorithms, and model evaluation techniques, particularly for language and speech analytics
- Well rounded knowledge of different AI technologies, their applications, use cases, impacts and challenges
- Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to successfully articulate your work and its intent to your team and your client
- A unique point of view. You are trusted to question approaches, processes, and strategy to better serve your team
Location
- This is a US based position.
- International travel for team and client meetings is required, typically up to 15%.
