Senior Product Designer, ROS

at Roblox

San Mateo, United States

Every day, tens of millions of people come to Roblox to explore, create, play, learn, and connect with friends in 3D immersive digital experiences– all created by our global community of developers and creators.

At Roblox, we’re building the tools and platform that empower our community to bring any experience that they can imagine to life. Our vision is to reimagine the way people come together, from anywhere in the world, and on any device. We’re on a mission to connect a billion people with optimism and civility, and looking for amazing talent to help us get there.

A career at Roblox means you’ll be working to shape the future of human interaction, solving unique technical challenges at scale, and helping to create safer, more civil shared experiences for everyone.

At Roblox, the Roblox Operating System (ROS) team builds the intelligent, integrated platforms that power the productivity and collaboration of every Builder across the company. As a Senior Product Designer, you will shape and scale the next generation of our internal tool ecosystem. You won't just be designing dashboards; you will be pioneering intuitive, self-service tools and AI-assisted workflows that enable our teams to seamlessly manage massive data analytics, knowledge discovery, and open platform integrations.

You’ll partner deeply with product managers and engineers to understand highly technical needs, translating dense data primitives and complex workflows into elegant, unified experiences from discovery through launch. Your work will empower our internal teams to move with speed and confidence, reducing their cognitive load through intelligent, agentic workflows within our Open Platform and AI enablement initiatives. Crucially, you will bring an uncompromising level of design craft to the enterprise layer - proving that the world's most powerful internal platforms can also be beautifully executed and intuitive.

You have a systematic approach to design, a proven ability to simplify the complex, and a passion for defining new AI-driven interaction patterns across our interconnected suite of tools. You thrive in the space where deep technical empathy meets high-fidelity execution.

You will:

  • Transform the Builder Experience: Lead end to end UX for core productivity and collaboration surfaces, reviving critical but under supported initiatives to significantly reduce coordination overhead and friction across day to day workflows.
  • Unify the internal ecosystem: Evaluate and elevate a fragmented landscape of internal tools, creating tighter and more intuitive connections between work tracking, growth and performance workflows, and knowledge discovery to shape a cohesive platform that teams genuinely enjoy using.
  • Bridge design and engineering: Collaborate closely with product leaders across multiple domains and with backend engineering partners, navigating complex technical and data constraints while consistently protecting experience quality and design integrity.
  • Set the gold standard for craft: Own high visibility analytics and leadership facing experiences while scaling a global data visualization component library, turning dense operational signals into clear and actionable insight and demonstrating that internal tools deserve refined, consumer level polish.

You have:

  • 5+ years of product design experience, with a focus on solving complex, systems-level problems in highly technical enterprise environments.
  • Domain expertise in data analytics, enterprise ecosystems, internal productivity platforms, or developer tooling. You are comfortable diving into complex organizational workflows and data primitives, translating them into unified, self-service experiences.
  • Experience in AI/LLM design, with a background in defining user interfaces for agentic workflows, Work Intelligence platforms, or intelligent automation. You understand how to design for user trust, proactive insights, and control in an AI-driven ecosystem.
  • Expert-level command of modern design stacks. You have high fluency in complex Figma environments (libraries, tokens, file architecture) and seamlessly integrate AI-augmented workflows into your practice. You leverage generative tools as a force multiplier to accelerate iteration, amplify productivity, and elevate your final craft. Using this velocity, you define and enforce an uncompromising quality bar for usability, interaction design, and visual polish within the enterprise layer, proving that internal tools deserve consumer-grade care.
  • A profound care for the final product. You possess an obsessive dedication to craft, sweating the smallest details all the way through to production. You believe that every pixel matters, and you refuse to stop refining until the coded experience feels inevitable, effortless, and beautifully resolved.
  • Strong cross functional collaborator with experience contributing to large scale, ambiguous initiatives that span multiple teams from early concept through launch. Comfortable partnering closely with technical stakeholders, product managers, and engineering counterparts to shape aligned decisions and deliver cohesive end to end experiences across complex internal platforms.

You are:

  • Strategic and systematic: You look beyond the immediate feature request and see the broader ecosystem, capable of building scalable design systems that anticipate future platform needs.
  • Resilient in ambiguity: You are comfortable pioneering new ground (like Agentic UX) where established patterns don't exist yet, turning complex, undefined problems into clear, actionable design strategies.
  • A collaborative influencer: You naturally build trust with highly technical partners, gracefully negotiating constraints while keeping the user experience at the absolute center of the conversation.
