About the Team

The Market Intelligence team is responsible for delivering clear, defensible, and forward-looking market perspectives to executive leadership, the board of directors, and investor relations teams. We operate at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and executive decision-making. As AI reshapes industries and business models, we want to ensure that leadership has a precise understanding of market size, segment dynamics, competitive entrenchment, and structural shifts. 

About the Role

The purpose of this role is to deeply understand the rapidly evolving AI ecosystem (including infrastructure, application-layer adoption, enterprise integration patterns, and capital flows) and translate those insights into clear GTM, product, and investment priorities. 

This leader will track and analyze the AI landscape end-to-end: from model providers and real-time inference environments to enterprise AI adoption across industries. They will assess TAM expansion, competitive shifts, monetization patterns, and adoption velocity to inform MongoDB’s capital allocation decisions.

What You’ll Do

• Quantify enterprise AI adoption across industries, company sizes, and use cases
• Develop forward-looking TAM, SAM, and scenario models for AI-driven database demand
• Surface early indicators of architectural shifts that create structural advantage or risk
• Convert complex AI infrastructure trends into clear product and investment guidance
• Advise senior leadership on priority setting and resource allocation related to AI initiatives

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in AI product strategy or top-tier management consulting
• Demonstrated expertise in the AI ecosystem
• Proven ability to build TAM/SAM models and scenario-based forecasts in emerging technology markets
• Strong understanding of enterprise technology adoption cycles and buying behavior
• Ability to translate technical architectures into business implications and capital allocation recommendations
• Experience presenting strategic recommendations to senior leadership
• High comfort operating in ambiguous, rapidly evolving environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to the database, data infrastructure, or distributed systems market
• Experience modeling pricing dynamics and cost curves for AI inference or GPU infrastructure
• Familiarity with enterprise AI deployment challenges (governance, compliance, integration)
• Experience analyzing competitive dynamics in open-source ecosystems
• MBA or advanced degree
