Senior Manager Strategic Initiatives
at GoDaddy
India
Location Details: Gurugram, India
At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.
This is a hybrid position. You’ll divide your time between working remotely from your home and an office, so you should live within commuting distance. Hybrid teams may work in-office as much as a few times a week or as little as once a month or quarter, as decided by leadership. The hiring manager can share more about what hybrid work might look like for this team.
This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.
Join our team
At GoDaddy, we are looking for a Senior Manager Strategic Initiatives to join our team! This team is a small, high-impact group that takes on some of the most complex, cross-functional opportunities in the company. We work on fast paced, high-stakes initiatives that span product, engineering, marketing, operations, corporate functions, and customer experience — often stepping into ambiguous situations to create clarity, drive alignment, and deliver real results. We're known for being gritty, creative, outcome-obsessed, and willing to do whatever it takes to succeed — while having fun doing it.
As a core member of this team, you'll lead delivery of initiatives that cut across business units, technology stacks, and organizational boundaries. You'll be responsible for leading efforts across multiple teams, building momentum where it doesn’t exist yet, and delivering measurable business outcomes. You won't just motivate delivery — you'll motivate change.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, builds influence and trust quickly, and is comfortable rolling up their sleeves while seeing the bigger picture!
What you'll get to do...
- Lead cross-functional delivery strategy, execution, and outcomes of central initiatives across product, engineering, operations, and GTM functions
- Work with other leaders to develop initiative-level plans across multiple workstreams; anticipate dependencies, risks, and tradeoffs; and ensure alignment with overall business goals and technical capabilities
- Influence technical architecture and implementation plans by facilitating productive engagement with engineering, UX, and product leads
- Ability to take large, complex product and technology projects and break them down into manageable pieces that are appropriately sequenced and delivered on-time
- Leverage data to drive decisions using initiative-level metrics, experimentation results, and product analytics to inform planning, optimize delivery, and evaluate post-launch success
- Implement delivery guidelines including Initiative Governance structures, breakthrough tracking, risk management, issue tracking, and Agile artifacts, tailored to the scope and complexity of the initiative
- Communicate progress, concerns, and choices clearly to executive customers, bridging technical and business perspectives
- Jump in to fill critical gaps — whether stepping into a TPM, product, or operations role — to keep momentum and ensure outcomes are delivered
- Optimize how we work, not just what we do — by contributing to and evolving our playbooks, tools, and delivery frameworks
Your experience should include...
- 8+ years of experience delivering complex, cross-functional technical programs in a product-led tech company, with 2+ years at the senior/expert level
- Exhibited success in leading programs with multiple product/engineering workstreams — ideally where you've motivated change across systems, tools, and customer experience
- Strong technical fluency — able to navigate system architectures, assess tradeoffs, and facilitate conversations between engineering, product, and design
- Proven ability to thrive in ambiguity, set vision, align teams, and drive execution without direct authority and experience managing strategic-level initiatives and communicating with executive audiences
- Deep program management toolkit: work planning, dependency/risk management, change management, Agile and SDLC fluency, and structured comms
You might also have...
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience; MBA or advanced degree is a plus
- Experience in M&A integrations, platform transformations, or scaling cross-org operations
- Familiarity with GoDaddy-scale infrastructure, platforms, or domains (e.g., hosting, domains, commerce)
- A passion for helping others succeed and a desire to improve how large organizations deliver big ideas
We've got your back... We offer a range of total rewards that may include paid time off, retirement savings (e.g., 401k, pension schemes), bonus/incentive eligibility, equity grants, participation in our employee stock purchase plan, competitive health benefits, and other family-friendly benefits including parental leave. GoDaddy’s benefits vary based on individual role and location and can be reviewed in more detail during the interview process.
We also embrace our diverse culture and offer a range of Employee Resource Groups (Culture). Have a side hustle? No problem. We love entrepreneurs! Most importantly, come as you are and make your own way.
