Reports to: Senior Director, Growth Marketing
About the Team:
AlphaSense Marketing is a revenue and pipeline-focused marketing team that encompasses demand generation, product marketing, corporate communications, PR / AR, brand, customer marketing, website, content marketing, and events. At our core, we’re here to support AlphaSense’s growth, which we do by contributing to pipeline and revenue; developing a brand that’s widely known to the markets we serve; and encouraging user engagement both within our product and with our brand.
About the Role:
We’re hiring a Senior Manager, Growth Marketing to lead and scale our organic search engine. This role owns the full organic search pipeline number and is responsible for transforming search into a durable, enterprise-grade growth lever.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Growth, you will lead a team spanning SEO, AEO, content-led growth, and CRO. You’ll operate at the intersection of technical SEO, AI-era search strategy, web experimentation, and enterprise buyer behavior.
This is not a traffic role. This is a pipeline role. You will be accountable for driving measurable revenue impact through organic search while building scalable systems that support long-term growth.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Data Science, related field, or equivalent working experience.
- Revenue-Oriented
- You think in terms of pipeline, not page views. You understand enterprise buying journeys and know how to translate search into measurable revenue impact.
- Deep SEO Operator
- You have 7+ years of experience in SEO or organic growth, including technical SEO expertise and experience scaling organic search results at a late-stage or high-growth company. You’ve navigated algorithm changes and evolving search paradigms.
- AI-Era Search Thinker
- You understand how generative search and AI surfaces impact discoverability and are actively evolving strategies around AEO, structured data, content authority, and topical depth.
- Experienced People Leader
- You’ve managed and developed growth marketers before. You are motivating, personable, and able to elevate performance while maintaining a strong team culture.
- Systems Builder
- You create repeatable frameworks, not one-off wins. You bring prioritization rigor and build scalable growth engines.
- Enterprise-Minded
- You understand complex buyer journeys and multi-stakeholder purchasing environments.
- Collaborative Operator
- You drive alignment and influence decisions across Product, PMM, Web, and Sales without formal authority.
- Hands-On Strategist
- You can audit a site, review technical SEO recommendations, and critique experimentation plans — while operating primarily at a strategic level.
- Preferred Experience
- Late-stage startup or pre-IPO growth experience
- Enterprise B2B SaaS
- Experience with GA4, Salesforce, marketing automation platforms (Marketo/Bizible), and web testing solutions (VWO)
- Demonstrated ownership of pipeline or revenue targets tied to organic search
What You’ll Do:
- Organic Pipeline Performance
- Own and deliver against organic-sourced pipeline targets
- Scale traffic-to-pipeline efficiency across enterprise buying journeys
- Identify new web-driven pipe generation strategies beyond traditional SEO
- SEO & AEO Strategy
- Lead our evolving SEO and AEO strategy
- Ensure we maintain a competitive advantage in AI-influenced search environments
- Monitor algorithm and generative search shifts, proactively adapting strategy
- CRO & Full-Funnel Optimization
- Partner closely with CRO to improve visit-to-trial, trial-to-meeting, and meeting-to-pipeline performance
- Drive testing roadmaps aligned to revenue outcomes, not vanity metrics
- Team Leadership
- Manage and develop a high-performing team of 3
- Elevate technical depth while fostering strong ownership and accountability
- Build systems, prioritization frameworks, and operating cadence for scale
- Cross-Functional Influence
- Partner with Product and Product Marketing to align search strategy with product positioning and enterprise use cases
- Collaborate with Web Strategy to align site architecture, performance, and experimentation
- Assist in forecasting and modeling organic contribution to pipeline
- What Success Looks Like (12 Months)
- Organic search scales in line with company pipeline targets
- Search is recognized internally as a strategic differentiator
- Traffic-to-pipeline conversion improves measurably
- AEO remains ahead of market shifts
- Team members are operating with increased autonomy and performance rigor
- A scalable experimentation and prioritization framework is institutionalized
