Senior Manager, Capital Markets
at CHYM
CA / New York, San Francisco, New York, United States
About the Role
We’re seeking a Senior Manager to join Chime’s Strategic Finance and Capital Markets team. In this role, you’ll help develop our capital strategy and drive capital markets transactions that are foundational to Chime’s growth, including financings for our liquidity products (warehouses, securitizations, forward flow programs) and corporate debt transactions. You’ll own the day-to-day operations of these facilities - from funding and reporting to investor and lender management. You’ll also partner cross-functionally with Product, Risk, and Finance to develop deep knowledge of the operational and financial performance of Chime’s products to optimize our strategy and ensure strong execution of our capital markets transactions. This is a unique opportunity to help shape Chime’s capital markets strategy as we expand into new financing structures and expand our suite of financial products.
The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $168,570.00 and up to $238,900.00. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
This is a role based in our offices in either San Francisco, CA or in New York, NY.
In this role, you can expect to:
- Develop and execute Chime’s funding strategy across new/existing products and corporate needs; design new structures and optimize existing facilities.
- Lead end‑to‑end execution of warehouses, securitizations, forward‑flow programs, and corporate debt transactions from term sheet through close, coordinating internal teams and external partners (banks, underwriters, rating agencies).
- Negotiate economics and legal documentation with lenders in partnership with counsel.
- Manage investor/lender diligence and communications; prepare offering documents, term sheets, and investor materials; deliver ongoing performance updates.
- Analyze collateral and run scenario models to inform structure, pricing, and investor discussions.
- Own day‑to‑day operations, funding, and reporting for all facilities; ensure accurate servicer reporting and compliance with lender metrics/covenants.
- Build and scale the infrastructure that supports transactions (systems, reporting, treasury cash‑flows, forecasting models), in partnership with Risk, Engineering, and Finance.
- Partner with Treasury and Finance to forecast facility utilization, liquidity, and capital structure in support of long‑term plans; support corporate debt, M&A financing, and capital return programs.
To thrive in this role, you will have:
- 6+ years of relevant experience in capital markets/structured finance at an investment bank, asset manager, lender, or fintech executing warehouses, forward‑flow, and other ABS strategies.
- Deep consumer credit expertise (e.g., personal loans, credit cards, EWA) and a track record analyzing loan pools and portfolio performance to inform structure and pricing.
- End‑to‑end deal execution experience, including modeling, diligence, documentation review, and closing across product-financing and corporate-level financing structures
- Fluency with transaction docs and ability to interpret and negotiate terms with counsel.
- Advanced analytical & modeling skills: expert in Excel/Google Sheets (build scalable cash‑flow and scenario models). Preference for comfort with SQL/Looker/Snowflake.
- Proven ability to synthesize insights and present to investors and senior leadership; strong writing for investor materials and IC memos.
- Demonstrated experience with cross-functional partners such as Treasury, Finance, Risk, Product, and Legal; strong project management to run multiple complex workstreams in parallel.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organization; comfort owning reporting, funding ops, and covenant/compliance across facilities.
- High integrity, bias to action, curiosity, and comfort operating in a fast‑paced, hyper‑growth fintech.
