Within the Content & Credentials org, the Teaching & Learning team brings together learning design experts and researchers who provide best practices, training, and consulting for content development. We work closely with partners and content creators to design transformational learning experiences, using research, experimentation, and data insights to improve learner satisfaction, engagement, and outcomes.

About the Role:

The Learning Analyst is a full-time, U.S.-based remote position dedicated to enhancing partner success and fostering data-driven strategies for Coursera’s strategic accounts. In this role, you will be instrumental in creating high-impact, skill-aligned learning experiences that address learner needs and adapt to evolving market demands.

To achieve this, you will take a client-facing approach, collaborating with  internal Coursera teams and external partners to analyze data patterns in their courses. You will directly perform data analysis and provide  strategic recommendations for revisions, portfolio updates, and more, and  present to clients.  Your contributions will be vital in driving improvements in learning outcomes through actionable data insights. 

With a strong foundation in data analysis and reporting, you will be playing a crucial role in analyzing educational offerings and improving our partner’s learning outcomes through actionable data insights.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Assist in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting datasets related to student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Data Visualizations:Support the creation of data visualizations and reports that succinctly communicate findings.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Learning Analytics Lead and learning designers to apply data insights to curriculum design and instructional methodologies.
  • Collaboration: Participate in cross-functional teams to develop adaptive learning and assessment tools. Consult with partners on findings and recommendations; conduct webinars with clients to explain results.
  • Learning Analytics Application: Contribute to the development of predictive models to improve student learning experiences.
  • Learning Analytics Application: Help ensure the reliability and validity of learning analytics efforts through sound research methodologies.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in a data analytics role that focuses on human behavior and presenting to non-technical audiences, preferably within an online education environment.
  • 2+ years experience in using SQL or Python for data querying and cleaning  in a Databricks, Snowflake or similar environment 
  • Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, SPSS, or similar).
  • 2+ years experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), preferably with LMS data integration.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a  field that focuses on data analytics to understand human behavior.
  • Strong communication abilities and proficient in leading discussions and presentations with clients and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A basic understanding of assessment/psychometrics.
  • A degree in Data Science, Educational Psychology, Learning Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience with Python for statistical modeling.

US Zone 1

 $105,000 - $130,000 USD

US Zone 3

$96,000 - $120,000 USD

The range(s) listed above is the expected annual base salary for this role, subject to change.

Salary is just one component of Coursera’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for a bonus program and equity in the form of RSU’s.

A number of factors are taken into account when determining pay, which includes: job level, location, training/education, business need, skill set and internal equity. 

Current Zone Locations:

  • Zone 1- San Francisco Metro, New York City Metro or Seattle Metro
  • Zone 2 - CA (outside of SF Bay Area), CO, CT, DC, GA, IL, MA, MD, NY/NJ (other than NYC), OR, RI, TX, VA, WA (other than Seattle)
  • Zone 3 - all other US locations
