What you'll get to do...
- Help build and mentor a world-class team dedicated to developing electronics hardware for omni-commerce products.
- Collaborate across Product, Program Management, Marketing, Branding, Software, Hardware, Fulfillment, Repair, Care, Compliance, and international partners to align requirements and expectations.
- Drive and socialize best practices for hardware design, program planning, execution, reporting, change management, and issue resolution across the company.
- Lead reviews of architecture, design intent, component specification, and validation plans to ensure high-quality, reliable hardware solutions are delivered on time and in support of our mission.
- Proactively identify, prioritize, and solve hardware issues, including conducting root cause and corrective action analyses for field and production failures.
- Manage test requirements, provide technical support to global repair centers, and collaborate with partners to analyze failures and drive corrective actions.
Your experience should include...
- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of technical experience in high-volume consumer electronics hardware systems, from concept to mass production.
- Proficiency in 3-D CAD, plastic and metal part design, and managing suppliers/manufacturing partners throughout the full hardware development lifecycle.
- Deep knowledge of design fundamentals, demand fulfillment, quality, compliance, tooling, sourcing, NPI, and mass production.
- Strong data-driven decision-making skills and experience with bug tracking, issue resolution, and statistical analysis, including DOE, FMEA, GR&R, Cp/Cpk, and correlation analysis.
- Hands-on experience in POS, smartphone, tablet, battery, Bluetooth, LAN, cellular, audio, display/touch, and sensor system design and integration.
- Ability to travel internationally to support partners as needed.
