MongoDB is seeking a Senior Executive Assistant to support our Chief Marketing Officer at the highest level, in the Bay Area. This is a high-trust, high-impact role for someone who does beyond traditional executive support and thrives at the center of a fast-moving organization. The right candidate will not only run a complex executive calendar and travel cadence with excellence, but also drive core operating rhythms, prepare materials for key meetings, track priorities and decisions to completion and own select projects across the Office of the CMO. 

This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented operator with strong judgment, executive presence, and the ability to move seamlessly between tactical execution and broader business support. You will work closely with the CMO, their Chief of Staff and Senior Leaders across Marketing and beyond to keep priorities moving, removing friction and ensure the Office of the CMO runs with precision and professionalism.

To succeed in this role you will need to operate thoughtfully and diplomatically and with a strong sense of ownership. You should feel comfortable interacting with senior executives and know how and when to manage up, across and around in the organization. You can communicate with clarity and professionalism at every level. The right candidate enjoys building relationships, working as part of a collaborative team and bringing judgment, and follow-through to a demanding environment.

Responsibilities 

  • Provide seamless day-to-day support to the CMO, including proactive calendar management, time prioritization, and coordination across time zones
  • Anticipate scheduling conflicts, think ahead and make adjustments early to protect time and avoid last-minute disruptions
  • Coordinate complex domestic and international travel in line with company policy, including itineraries, logistics, on the ground support, and bi-monthly expense reconciliation
  • Partner closely with the CMO, Chief of Staff, Direct Reports and other senior stakeholders to keep priorities moving and ensure strong follow-through
  • Track key deliverables, decisions and action items to closure with integrity and accountability, escalating blockers when needed and following through without reminders
  • Liaise with stakeholders to create, review and coordinate correspondence, spreadsheets, slide decks, meeting agendas and briefing materials
  • Lead the planning and execution of events and offsites, from requirements gathering, venue coordination,budgets, contracts, payments and providing on-site support
  • Build trusted relationships across functions and levels, communicating with professionalism, discretion and sound judgment in support of the CMO
  • Identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements that increase effectiveness for both the CMO and broader team.Take ownership of special projects as needed, showing initiative and strong judgment in ambiguous or fast-changing scenarios
  • Manage day to day workload while staying calm under pressure, exercising judgment, and seeing beyond the day-to-day to anticipate changing needs

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience supporting senior executives or equivalent exposure to executive-level work., or other relevant experience working directly with executive leaders
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Docs), Microsoft Office Suite, and video conferencing tools (e.g. Zoom). Familiarity of and use of AI tools is a plus
  • Proven success managing complex calendars across time zones, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to anticipate scheduling needs
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and manage high-volume domestic and international travel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with clarity and professionalism at all levels
  • Strong judgment, discretion and integrity, including the ability to handle confidential information with care
  • Highly adaptable and calm under pressure, able to make decisions, reprioritize quickly, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proactive, collaborative, and feedback-oriented. Is able to take initiative, think creatively, and work independently when needed
  • Willingness to work flexible hours to support global stakeholders and executive needs

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for eligible employees may include: equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k) plan, mental health counseling, access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage, and health benefits offerings. Please note, the base salary range listed below and the benefits in this paragraph are only applicable to U.S.-based candidates.

$68,000$133,000 USD
