The role:

At SoFi, our mission is to help our members achieve financial independence to realize their ambitions. To do this, we don't just provide financial tools—we build a community. We are looking for a high-energy, detail-oriented Event Producer to join our Marketing team and help us build our community.

In this role, you won't just be "planning parties." You will be the architect of experiences that drive brand loyalty and product awareness. You will bridge the gap between high-level strategy and flawless execution, working across the organization to bring the SoFi brand to life through stadium-scale member experiences, PR launches, social media activations and financial wellness initiatives. You are a master of logistics, a creative collaborator, and a confident communicator who is as comfortable behind a spreadsheet as you are behind a microphone. During the off-season, this role will continue to support our creative studio with traditional creative end-to-end project management or campaign production.

This role reports to the executive director of creative operations, and be a part of our best-in-class project management and creative studio team, and partner with amazing marketers and strategists across our marketing department.

What you’ll do:

  • Strategic Planning: Partner with strategists, creatives, and product marketers across the marketing org to translate business goals into high-impact event concepts.
  • End-to-End Execution: Own the full event lifecycle, from developing initial plans and sending out RFPs to external agencies to managing on-site logistics, run of show, and post-event strike.
  • Creative & Film Oversight: Partner closely with our in-house Creative Studio to ensure brand consistency. Contribute creative ideas and feedback based on your successful experience as an event producer.
  • Provide oversight for film production elements within events, ensuring high-quality video content is captured and delivered.
  • Continue to support our creative studio with traditional creative end-to-end project management or campaign production during the event off season.
  • Vendor & Agency Management: Lead and/or partner with strategists during the RFP process, negotiate contracts, and manage third-party event companies to ensure they deliver on time, on budget, and on brand.
  • Host & MC: When the moment calls for it, step into the spotlight to host or MC events, representing the SoFi brand with charisma and professionalism.
  • Diverse Portfolio Management: Produce a wide range of events and event support materials, including PR activations, social media activations, brand and product events, conferences  and activations, SoFi Generational Wealth Fund initiatives, educational content opportunities, and our flagship "Member Experiences" (exclusive sports, music, and financial wellness events).
  • Budgetary Stewardship: Manage large-scale event budgets, ensuring maximum ROI and meticulous tracking of expenses.
  • Performance Analytics: Work with strategic partners to define key performance indicators (KPIs) for each event. Report on outcomes, using data to track efficacy and alignment with SoFi’s overarching marketing goals.
  • Risk & Safety Management: Proactively identify potential risks (logistical, safety, or brand-related) and develop comprehensive contingency plans.

What you’ll need:

  • Experience: 7+ years of professional experience in the hospitality and events space, preferably within a high-growth tech or financial services environment.
  • Project Management Mastery: Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously with shifting priorities and tight deadlines, including both events and non-event marketing campaign support.
  • Production Savvy: A clear understanding of what is required in order to book video and photography production workflows, with a minimum of light or agency video producer skills.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and command a room as an MC or presenter.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: Ability to translate event engagement metrics into actionable insights for the marketing leadership team.
  • Vendor Negotiation: Strong experience in contract negotiation and managing external agency partners to high standards.
  • Adaptability: A "no task too small" attitude and the ability to remain calm and decisive under the pressure of live event environments.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel to event locations as needed to oversee execution.
