Role Summary
We are seeking a strategic and highly experienced Senior DevOps Platform Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our enterprise-wide DevOps ecosystem. This pivotal role requires deep expertise in GitHub administration and proven experience supporting core CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, including Artifactory, Jenkins, HashiCorp Vault, and HashiCorp Terraform Enterprise. The successful candidate will drive efficiency, ensure platform stability, and govern security and compliance across our critical development tool stack.
Key Responsibilities
GitHub Enterprise Administration:
- Platform Management: Administer, monitor, and maintain the GitHub Enterprise environment (Cloud and Server), ensuring high availability, performance tuning, and regular upgrades/updates.
- Security & Governance: Implement robust access controls, manage identity provider integration (SAML/SSO), enforce security policies, and leverage GitHub Advanced Security (GHAS) features (code scanning, secret scanning) for compliance.
- Automation: Utilize GitHub APIs and scripting (Python, Shell) to automate administrative tasks, manage configurations, and streamline operations.
DevOps Tools Administration & Support:
- Artifactory (JFrog): Manage and configure Artifactory instances, including repository setup (Docker, npm, Maven), high availability configurations, storage management (e.g., S3 integration), and integration with JFrog Xray for vulnerability scanning.
- HashiCorp Vault: Administer Vault clusters for secrets management, including policy configuration (HCL), authentication methods (e.g., K8s, LDAP, AWS), secure integration with applications, and disaster recovery planning.
- HashiCorp Terraform Enterprise/Cloud: Manage the Terraform Enterprise server and workspaces, including state management, role-based access control (RBAC), and policy enforcement via Sentinel to ensure compliance with IaC standards.
- Jenkins: Administer and troubleshoot Jenkins controllers and agents, manage plugins, optimize pipeline performance, and ensure platform security and stability.
General Duties & IaC Tooling:
- IaC Management: Provide expertise and support for various Infrastructure as Code tools beyond Terraform, such as Ansible or Chef, ensuring best practices in versioning, testing, and deployment.
- Troubleshooting: Act as the Tier 3 escalation point for complex issues spanning the DevOps toolchain, providing expert diagnosis and resolution.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Platform Engineering, development, security, compliance, and infrastructure teams to integrate tools, define standards, and improve the overall developer experience.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, standards, and operational runbooks for all supported platforms.
Required Skills
- Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in administering enterprise-level DevOps platforms, with in-depth focus on GitHub. Proven track record of managing a diverse stack including Artifactory, Jenkins, Vault, and Terraform Enterprise.
Technical Knowledge:
- Strong proficiency in scripting/automation (Python, Bash, Groovy, HCL).
- Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong background in Linux/Unix system administration.
- Familiarity with REST APIs for automation and integration purposes.

- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders and providing clear technical guidance.
