The Basics:
As Senior Manager of Content Marketing, you will play a pivotal role on a high-performing team, with the opportunity to make an immediate and meaningful impact. You will own product marketing content strategy and execution, ensuring strong alignment across the organization while amplifying Tanium’s messaging and differentiation. Your work will span key initiatives including product launches, sales plays, integrated campaigns, web experiences, analyst RFIs, and more.
These efforts will directly support go-to-market priorities, accelerate demand generation, and strengthen a cohesive narrative across the entire buyer journey. In addition, you will help define and scale best practices for content development, governance, and effectiveness.
The ideal candidate is both creative and analytical, highly organized, and meticulous in execution. You bring a proven ability to craft compelling narratives from complex, technical subject matter, paired with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. You are comfortable influencing cross-functional stakeholders and driving initiatives forward in a matrixed environment.
This role is well suited for a seasoned content leader with deep B2B marketing experience in enterprise technology, a passion for storytelling, and a demonstrated ability to connect product value to real customer needs.
This position follows the Company’s hybrid schedule which currently requires employees to work in the office at one of the following locations a minimum of three days per week: Addison, TX; Bellevue, WA; Durham, NC; Emeryville, CA; or Reston, VA.
What you’ll do:
- Reinforce and enforce the current messaging framework for Tanium’s platform, solutions, and products to ensure clarity, consistency, and differentiation across all channels.
- Oversee creation of core assets: messaging frameworks, value propositions, solution briefs, and executive narratives.
- Create consistency and clarity across all customer-facing content.
- Guide content teams on tone, voice, and storytelling.
- Identify target personas, understand their key business problems, and pain points, and articulate Tanium’s value proposition to drive desired outcomes.
- Increase message pull-through in campaigns and sales conversations.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including corporate marketing, product management, sales/enablement, customer success, and others across all activities.
- Collaborate with demand generation teams to execute targeted campaigns that drive pipeline.
We’re looking for someone with:
- 5-7 years of experience in communications, product marketing, or related roles in enterprise software, IT, or cybersecurity.
- Exceptional writing and storytelling skills with a portfolio of work that demonstrates clarity and impact.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience supporting product launches and managing communications across multiple channels.
- Strong understanding of B2B technology buyers, cloud, IT, and/or the cybersecurity landscape.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field; or equivalent experience.

What you’ll get
The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $95,000 to $290,000. This range is an estimate for what Tanium will pay a new hire. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience.
