Salesforce Developer – Cleared (Salesforce Federal Delivery)
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Hybrid (US-based, strong preference for DC Metro Area). In-person expectations include visits with customers, Salesforce offices, and to Thunder offices in Tysons Corner, VA.
Role Summary
The Salesforce Developer designs, develops, and deploys secure Salesforce solutions within Federal environments that require an active security clearance. This role collaborates with architects, BAs, and PMs to implement customized, scalable, and compliant Salesforce solutions aligned to mission needs.
Core Pillars
- Secure Development – Build and configure Salesforce solutions (Apex, LWC, Flows) in cleared environments.
- Collaboration – Partner with BAs, Architects, and PMs to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Integration & Data – Support secure integrations with legacy Federal systems and ensure data compliance.
- Compliance & Best Practices – Follow Federal cybersecurity, DevSecOps, and Salesforce development best practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and configure secure Salesforce solutions including Apex classes, triggers, and Lightning Web Components.
- Implement business logic, automation, and integration solutions in compliance with Federal standards.
- Collaborate with BAs and Solution Architects to translate requirements into technical designs.
- Support testing, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues during UAT and deployment.
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring compliance with coding standards and security requirements.
- Contribute to DevSecOps pipelines and secure CI/CD practices in Federal delivery environments.
Qualifications
- 3+ years Salesforce development experience (Apex, LWC, APIs).
- Salesforce Platform Developer I certification required (Developer II preferred).
- Experience with secure development practices, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with integrating Salesforce into Federal legacy systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills in complex environments.
- Active Security Clearance required (Secret or higher).
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Travel required as necessary
