About the job
OpenTable is looking for a driven Sales Development Representative to join our Mexico-based team and help restaurants maximize their revenue potential through our industry-leading technology. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for prospective partners, identifying growth opportunities and securing strategic appointments for our Account Executives. You will join a high-performing global team dedicated to championing the hospitality industry and delivering exceptional experiences for both diners and venues. By mastering outbound prospecting and lead qualification, you will play a critical role in expanding OpenTable’s footprint across Mexico and ensuring the long-term success of our restaurant partners.
Note: This is a hybrid position based in Mexico City, Mexico.
Responsibilities
- Drive regional revenue growth by identifying and generating high-quality sales leads through proactive telephone prospecting. This is not a sales position.
- Partner with the Restaurant Marketing team to execute targeted lead generation programs and distribute persuasive sales communications.
- Manage the end-to-end lead hand-off process to ensure Account Executives receive well-qualified opportunities that exceed customer expectations.
- Support the Mexico sales team by responding promptly to prospect inquiries and providing detailed product information to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Maintain accurate and timely activity reports to keep management informed of pipeline progress and regional market trends.
- Represent OpenTable at regional trade shows and sales initiatives to conduct market research and strengthen brand presence in new territories.
Minimum Qualifications
- Professional proficiency in both English and Spanish, including strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven track record of success in telesales, call-center environments, or outbound business development.
- Ability to travel regularly within Mexico and the United States, including possession of a valid US Visa. Potential travel to Central America, South America, and the Caribbean.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data management and presentation purposes.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage time effectively while working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience using Salesforce.com to manage lead pipelines and track sales activities.
- Familiarity with the hospitality or restaurant technology industry.
- Experience with targeted email marketing and lead nurturing strategies.
