About the role 

The Revenue Analyst will report to the Manager of Revenue, Advertising and will work closely with our cross-functional teams (Sales, Ads Operations and others) to ensure accurate revenue recognition and reporting for our Media & Entertainment (M&E) Advertising activities, and timely financial close. We are looking for a high-energy, hands-on individual that can work independently and cooperatively with others to support the company’s revenue accounting. An ideal candidate should possess great attention to detail, experience with revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606, and be highly motivated to get things done. 

For California Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $115,000 and $121,000 annually. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location. This role is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off. 

  

What you’ll be doing 

  • Work with cross-functional teams (sales, ads operations and others) to accurately and consistently apply accounting practices to advertising campaigns, and help resolve revenue recognition, invoicing or other related issues 
  • Ensure accurate and GAAP-compliant revenue recognition for different M&E advertising business models, including the application of multiple element accounting 
  • Assist in monthly and quarterly financial close activities 
  • Support continuous process improvements 
  • Participate in the implementation of industry best practices on internal controls for the advertising order-to-cash business process 
  • Assist with special projects, as needed 

 

We’re excited if you have 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent  
  • CPA is preferred 
  • 2-5 years of prior accounting and reporting experience 
  • Experience with revenue recognition under ASC 606, ideally in digital advertising ecosystem  
  • Superior Excel and Word skills 
  • Salesforce and NetSuite experience preferred 
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail 
  • Strong analytical skills 
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and business partnering skills 
  • Motivated by a challenging, dynamic and demanding environment
