Asana's Global Professional Services team is seeking a Resource Manager to optimize delivery capacity and ensure successful customer outcomes across our implementation, customer enablement, technical services practices. You will play a critical role in balancing consultant utilization, managing our mix of internal and subcontracted resources, and enabling our team to scale efficiently while maintaining delivery excellence.
In this role, you will serve as the strategic partner to practice area leads across Customer Enablement Management, Technical Services, and Implementation, ensuring we have the right resources with the right skills deployed at the right time. You will be instrumental in evolving our resource management capabilities to meet growing customer demand while optimizing our services P&L performance.
This role is based in our Chicago office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. Along with most Asanas, you’ll work from this office in person on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays and Fridays. If you're interviewing for this role, your Talent Acquisition Partner will share more about the in-office requirements.
What you’ll achieve:
- Manage global resource allocation and capacity planning across all Professional Services practice areas, balancing utilization of internal consultants and subcontracted partners to optimize delivery quality and margins
- Forecast capacity needs based on pipeline, bookings, and delivery timelines, proactively identifying and addressing resource constraints before they impact customer commitments
- Develop and maintain resource management processes, tools, and dashboards that provide real-time visibility into utilization metrics, bench time, and capacity forecasts to leadership
- Coordinate with subcontracted partners to ensure appropriate skill matching, availability, and performance, while maintaining strategic relationships that support our scaling needs
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and practice area leads to align on delivery timelines, resource commitments, and capacity modeling for quarterly and annual business planning
About you:
- 5+ years of experience in resource management, professional services operations, or delivery management, with proven ability to manage resources across multiple practice areas or service lines
- Strong analytical and forecasting capabilities with demonstrated experience in capacity modeling, utilization optimization, and data-driven decision-making
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and align diverse groups around resource priorities and trade-offs
- Experience managing both internal teams and external subcontractor or partner relationships in a services delivery context
- Proficiency with resource management tools and systems (experience with Asana, Salesforce and Certina PSA a strong plus)
- Systems thinker with process optimization mindset and ability to build structure in dynamic, high-growth environments
- Comfortable balancing competing priorities with a customer-centric focus on delivery excellence and operational efficiency
- Experience with Purchase Order and Invoice management (nice to have)

For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $120,000 - $136,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.
In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
