Clear Street’s mission is to become a single-source platform that serves a variety of investor types across multiple asset classes on a global scale. The Clear Street U.K. team is bringing Clear Street’s established equities, options, and fixed-income prime brokerage business to a new market.
The Role:
The Regulatory Reporting Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day management of all Clear Street UK Ltd non-financial regulatory reporting requirements. The Regulatory Operations team ensures CSUK remains compliant with a wide range of non-financial regulatory reporting obligations covering cross product/market and jurisdictional requirements. This role will interface with all front office business lines within the company and co-ordinate closely with Operations, Technology, Legal and Compliance. Core to the role is to establish best practice, robust, efficient and effective compliant regulatory reporting processes.
Responsibilities:
- Production and submission of all non-financial regulatory reporting including but not limited to commodity position reporting, MiFID transaction reporting, EMIR and SFTR.
- Completeness and accuracy controls tests of all submissions, including three-way reconciliation process
- Production and distribution of key management information and implementation of exception-based reporting
- Identify solutions to correct system issues, document requirements to high quality, perform tests to identify an accurate resolution
- Perform analysis to detect anomalies in the reporting data, investigate reporting issues and facilitate back reporting projects
- Advise on new business regulatory reporting requirements to facilitate commercial activity
- Complete UAT on new reporting set ups, inclusive of any new Clear Street entity
- Analyse internal client and external regulatory inquiries
- Maintain an up to date understand of relevant regulatory requirements and developments
- Work collaboratively across multiple business lines and stakeholder groups in strategic initiatives
Skills required:
- Bachelor's degree with experience in financial services.
- Experience with regulatory reporting and disclosures, in particular MiFID, EMIR, SFTR and other global non-financial regulatory reporting obligations
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to understand complex workflows paired with meticulous attention to detail
- Good experience of working with emergent technology to automate processing and quality assurance workflows
- Excellent communication skills to clearly articulate issues and ideas and provide timely escalation,
- Good interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with key stakeholders within Operations and Compliance
- Self-motivated and proactive team player
- Practical experience of writing business requirements, identifying solutions and defining and executing test cases
- Working knowledge of financial markets, regulatory landscape and associated processes, including the lifecycle of a trade
- Flexible and able to work well under pressure in a team environment.
- Working knowledge of financial products across securities, exchange traded derivatives and OTC Derivatives across Equity, Credit, Interest Rates, FX and Commodities.
- Understanding of Margin and Valuation processes and regulatory reporting requirements
- Experience participating in discussions and influencing outcomes in industry groups
