As the Regional/Market Community Lead for League of Legends, you will drive comms, community, social, influencer and content efforts across our broader game ecosystem in Americas. In partnership with games and publishing leadership, this role will develop, deliver, and manage all communications of the player experience in Americas including both high level strategy and day to day campaign tactics. You are responsible not just for what we’re saying, but how, when, and why we’re saying it.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of localized community and player communication strategies for League of Legends in Americas, balancing immediate campaign needs with long-term engagement goals in close collaboration with global League of Legends publishing teams
- Collaborate closely Americas’s League of Legends PR and community teams to coordinate the delivery of resonant content, guide localization efforts, and address regional/market concerns
- Support the roll-out of player-facing communications to ensure an engaging dialogue with our players
- Escalate player needs and expectations to global League of Legends publishing teams to help facilitate a player-focused game evolution
- Oversee the influencer strategy, harmonizing efforts across teams to bolster League of Legends’s presence and community engagement in Americas
- Provide essential insights into local player feedback for product development and content strategies
- Partner with stakeholders in player communications, community, influencer, and social across the game ecosystem/experience to ensure players in Americas have a journey consistent with the desired global experience, with a clear narrative for players month over month and day to day
- Define and/or align all local player facing content with key player experience and business outcomes
- Define strategic opportunity spaces for local dev-to-player communications
- Identify strategic opportunity spaces to create content or highlight community content
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in product content strategy, communications, or community management
- 5+ years experience with gaming audiences, especially in the Moba space
- Intimate knowledge of your region/market’s games landscape, innovations, trends, and ever-evolving player expectations
- Well-versed in leading cross-disciplinary teams and able to influence stakeholders
- Excellent communicator - verbal and written
- Deep experience creating and communicating communications strategies that span across multiple platforms and delivery channels
Desired Qualifications:
- Hands-on or strategic experience with Social Media and Influencer campaigns
- Awareness of & interest in the esports & gaming space as a rising cultural force
- Citizen of the internet - you’re an autodidact and create time to understand what conversations are happening and how we can engage on behalf of our audience
