About the team
The Data Foundations Product Team is responsible for (1) improving data quality to generate world class observability into our business and (2) sharing well structured data with our users leveraging AI Agents, AI/ML Models, Dashboard, and other Data Products, making Stripe the central nervous system for businesses. Our vision is to guide Stripe and its users into an era of unprecedented level of intelligence through data. We partner closely with Product and Engineering leaders to define vision, technologies, product capabilities, and roadmaps, while delivering reliable experiences for our customers
We work on product development and strategic projects for the Data and AI team at Stripe. We are passionate about data and believe that we can use it to help Stripe, and its users, run better. Efforts include improving data production and consumption for Stripe developers, non-technical Stripes, and end-users.
What you’ll do
- Roadmap and Strategy Formulation: Set the strategy and product roadmap for short and long term horizons, influencing C-level leaders on investment allocation.
- Platform and Architecture Shaping: Roll up your sleeves and influence engineering leaders and key architects on functional and non-functional requirements for data systems including: Data Movement, Processing, Storing and Serving, Agentic & RAG architectures, Analytics, and Data Governance.
- Golden Path Workflows for Business and Developer Personas: Understand multiple user personas across Stripe internal developers, non-technical internal users, and external users, and leverage your user empathy to develop fit-for-purpose abstractions over Data and AI/ML infrastructure.
- Product Enablement: Partner closely with Product leaders to enable new, cutting edge, data capabilities across Payments, Connect, Risk, Revenue and Financial Automation and beyond.Ecosystem and Innovation Trends: Identify relevant trends in areas including data innovations and open source advancements in areas such as Airflow, Spark, Flink, Iceberg, Trino, Pinot, Jupyter, DBT, and more.
Responsibilities
You will be one of the founding members of the Product Management discipline and culture for the Data Foundations organization. The ideal candidate will partner with the Data Foundations Product and Engineering Leaders to set the technical direction that best accelerates Stripe’s strategy, acting with high agency and user empathy. You are intellectually curious, driven, and humble.

Minimum requirements
The ideal product manager will be a trusted partner to leadership, an active listener, relentlessly user-focused, highly analytical, comfortable in ambiguity, technically strong, and driven to uplevel the product discipline and quality.
- Passion for and experience shipping technical data products and developer tooling
- Strong understanding of modern data platform technologies including high throughput event management, lambda vs kappa architectures, online datastores, data lakes and warehouses, semantic layers, query gateways, data lineage, validation tools, etc.
- 8+ years of Product Management experience
- Computer Science background or equivalent technical experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and advocate for infrastructure needs across the organization
Preferred qualifications
- Experienced product manager discipline in growth technology companies
- Experienced partnering closely with c-suite technology executives
- Product skills spanning technical, user experience, business and go-to-market domains
- Intimate knowledge of data infrastructure technologies (e.g., Iceberg, Airflow, Flyte, Flink, DuckDB, etc.)
- Former software engineer working or data engineer
