About the Role
Udemy Business is seeking a Principal Product Manager, Growth to play a pivotal role in unlocking and accelerating sustainable growth across our global enterprise customer base. Reporting to the Director of Growth & Retention, you will be responsible for leading high-impact growth, conversion, and expansion initiatives across both pre- and post-purchase experiences.
You will drive experimentation and optimization in collaboration with Marketing, Sales, Research, and Design. You will own critical product-led growth touchpoints and use data, insights, and customer research to deliver measurable value, conversion, and expansion. This highly visible role will shape our customer journey, from acquisition and trial through expansion and advocacy.
What You’ll Do
- Drive end-to-end growth strategy and execution for Udemy Business, with focus across pre- and post-purchase experiences for enterprise customers.
- Partner closely with Marketing and Customer Marketing teams to optimize messaging and triggers across lifecycle channels (email, in-app, and product surfaces), driving conversion and customer engagement.
- Lead experimentation and continuous optimization of key conversion and expansion touchpoints, including:
- Free trials to paid conversion (self-service)
- Seat expansion flows and upgrade journeys
- In-product upsell messaging, banners, and premium feature prompts
- Trials for advanced, gated, or premium features
- Pricing and packaging experiments
- PQL (Product Qualified Lead) signal identification and orchestration
- Nudges for dormant or low-activity accounts
- Virality and advocacy surface design and improvement
- Use data and user research to deeply understand user segmentation, business context, and behavior; leverage insights for impactful product decisions and A/B testing.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Design, User Research, Customer Success, and Engineering teams to deliver product improvements that drive measurable ARR and NDRR growth.
- Inform and execute value laddering and seamless upgrade paths through tailored product experiences and segmentation.
- Define success metrics, monitor performance, and communicate results and learnings to leadership and stakeholders.
- Serve as a thought leader, mentor, and role model within the product organization, upholding our culture of innovation, diversity, and impact.
- Stay current on best practices and emerging trends in B2B SaaS growth, AI-driven personalization, and product-led growth.
About You
- 8+ years of product management experience, with significant tenure in enterprise B2B growth roles.
- Demonstrated track record of driving results in product-led growth, conversion, and expansion across the full customer lifecycle.
- Deep familiarity with both pre- and post-purchase enterprise customer journeys.
- Extensive experience partnering with marketing teams on messaging, triggers, lifecycle campaigns, and product-marketing motions.
- Strong analytical, experimentation, and optimization skills; highly proficient in A/B testing and leveraging data for product decisions.
- Experience designing in-product upsells, upgrade flows, feature gating, virality, and expansion touchpoints for SaaS customers.
- Proven ability to collaborate, influence, and execute cross-functionally, especially with Sales, Research, Engineering, and Design.
- Passion for research-driven product development, comfortable engaging directly with customers and using qualitative and quantitative feedback.
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
- High bar for product quality, operational rigor, and business impact.
- Familiarity with the enterprise learning, HR tech, or SaaS industry is highly preferred.
- Experience with international or global product is preferred
