GoDaddy is reimagining how small businesses sell — in-person, online, and everywhere in between. As we scale our e-commerce and POS ecosystem, we’re hiring a Principal Product Manager to lead strategic direction for our B2B2C product and go-to-market, driving growth through banking partners.
You will be the product lead for a channel that turns banks into modern commerce platforms for their SMB customers. In this role, you’ll define the platform vision and roadmap that enable Tier 1 financial institutions and ecosystem players to launch, sell, and scale GoDaddy’s POS and eCommerce solutions — directly competing with Square, Shopify, and Clover. Success means balancing partner customization with platform scalability, owning the partner lifecycle end-to-end, and unlocking new monetization pathways through embedded finance, joint data products, bundles, and co-branded experiences. You’ll shape the product architecture, feature set, and commercialization model that scale our partnerships to 20+ globally, giving banks the tools to defend and grow their SMB acquiring businesses against FinTech disruption.
What you'll get to do...
- Define and own the long-term vision and architecture for a scalable, customizable, multi-tenant commerce platform.
- Translate partner needs into compliant, resilient product features that enable new monetization streams and business models.
- Guide technical decisions (APIs, integration, localization) to drive partner success in regulated and international markets.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, compliance, finance, and product teams to deliver enterprise-ready solutions.
- Lead the product innovation agenda and set a 2–3 year roadmap focused on competitive differentiation and revenue growth.
- Oversee internal and external product reviews to ensure alignment, execution, and insight into priorities.
- Use market and competitive intelligence to inform product strategy, prioritization, and unique value propositions.
- Develop cases and partner return on investment models, supporting GTM and BD teams in market positioning and narrative development.
Your experience should include...
- 7+ years of product management experience, with 3+ years in POS, payments, or eCommerce platforms. ideally with partner-facing ownership.
- Experienced in developing long-term platform vision and multi-year innovation roadmaps for distinctive differentiation.
- Deep understanding of payments acceptance and SMB commerce workflows (retail, food & beverage, personal care, services), including inventory, catalog, payments, fulfillment, and customer engagement.
- Vertical strategy orientation: Ability to tailor product strategies and solution bundles to the unique needs of different partner verticals.
- Business model innovation: Experience designing and optimizing revenue-sharing structures, embedded finance models, and co-branded monetization pathways that align incentives with platform growth.
- Metrics ownership: Ability to define, track, and act on important metrics around partner adoption, merchant activation, and retention as drivers of product-market fit.
- Influence & communication: Excel in uncertain, cross-functional settings, with effective communication and storytelling abilities when interacting with technical teams, partner sales leaders, and C-level collaborators.
You might also have...
- EMV & terminal stack fluency: EMV L1/L2/L3 cycles, P2PE/End-to-end encryption, DUKPT key management, Remote Key Injection (RKI), Terminal Management Systems (TMS), parameter updates, firmware gating.
- Technical enablement: Familiarity with APIs, SDKs, OAuth, REST, and integration security standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, tokenization, etc)
- Partner integration experience: Track record of working with banks, ISOs, payment processors, or FinTechs — and translating integration needs into scalable product capabilities.
