About the job
This position is needed to be the trusted communications partner for Twilio’s Chief Revenue Officer, Thomas Wyatt. In this highly visible and strategic role, you will craft and drive impactful messaging that elevates the CRO’s voice across internal and external audiences, reinforcing Twilio’s vision, GTM strategy, broad customer base and leadership in the industry.
This role sits within Twilio’s Corporate Communications team, responsible for shaping and delivering Twilio’s story across investors, press, customers, industry analysts, and employees. You will develop executive-level content, build presentations for customer meetings, manage internal and external communications, and support change management initiatives to ensure clarity, alignment, and engagement across Twilio’s GTM organization and beyond.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
- Develop an annual executive communications strategy, plan and calendar that supports the CRO in building his reputation as the leader behind Twilio’s GTM transformation.
- Develop content to represent GTM at quarterly Company All Hands meetings and other key internal companywide meetings (Sales Kickoff, Leadership Offsites, Board Meetings).
- Design and deliver compelling presentations for external events (customer briefings, investor conferences, etc), transforming complex narratives into visually engaging, audience-tailored stories with exceptional design execution.
- Ghostwrite impactful, forward-thinking communications that tell Twilio’s story across channels including keynotes, board decks, internal presentations, customer presentations and social media.
- Partner with Twilio's People team to craft communications supporting ongoing change management initiatives within the GTM function.
- Develop content for GTM function-level communications and events.
- Build and maintain relationships with key partners to inform CRO communications strategy including Twilio’s Management Team, GTM Leadership, Corporate Communications, and more.

*Required:
- 8+ years experience in communications, including a minimum 3 years in a dedicated executive communications role
- 5+ years in the tech industry
- Design/visual branding expertise
- Proficiency in creating presentations for both large audiences (Keynotes, Company All Hands) and smaller but executive level presentations (board meetings, customer meetings)
- Exceptional writing and storytelling skills with the ability to craft clear, engaging, and strategic messaging for executive leaders
- Strong executive presence and ability to advise on communications strategy to all levels of the organization
Desired:
- Experience writing for, working directly with and influencing CEOs, C-level executives, and SVPs
- Strong business acumen
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to partner effectively across R&D, GTM, Marketing, HR, PR, and Internal Comms team
Location
This role will be remote, but is not eligible to be hired in San Francisco, CA, Oakland, CA, San Jose, CA, or the surrounding areas.
Travel
We prioritize connection and opportunities to build relationships with our customers and each other. For this role, you may be required to travel occasionally to participate in project or team in-person meetings.

Compensation
*Please note this role is open to candidates outside of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington D.C., and Washington State. The information below is provided for candidates hired in those locations only.
The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:
- Based in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Vermont or Washington D.C. : $138,700 - $173,400.
- Based in New York, New Jersey, Washington State, or California (outside of the San Francisco Bay area): $146,800 - $183,600.
- Based in the San Francisco Bay area, California: $163,100 - $203,900.
- This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and corporate bonus plan. All roles are generally eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
