As the Global Onboarding Program Manager, you’ll have the unique opportunity to shape the first impression our new employees have of the company, influencing their long-term success and engagement. You will be our main point of contact for driving our Onboarding Program optimization across the entire organization, with a critical focus on embedding security principles and robust identity verification processes into the new hire journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end management of the global onboarding program, designing and implementing scalable virtual, in-person, and hybrid strategies for all business units.
- Own and orchestrate the global identity verification (IDV) and background check program for all new hires.
- Partner with our Security, Legal, and IT teams to continuously design, implement, and audit these verification protocols, ensuring they are rigorous, globally compliant, and scalable.
- Collaborate with key partners including Recruiting for seamless candidate handoffs, Places for in-office experiences, L&D for content optimization, and HR and IT to create a cohesive journey.
- Ensure growing regions, such as India, feel supported by developing personalized experiences and scalable processes that address local needs while maintaining global consistency.
- Manage and oversee all onboarding technology platforms, including Workday and the new hire portal, ensuring they are user-friendly, efficient, and up-to-date.
- Continuously assess and improve the onboarding process by developing and tracking KPIs (including security compliance and satisfaction), analyzing feedback, and making data-driven recommendations.
- Provide coaching and guidance to HR partners and hiring managers to ensure consistent, secure program delivery, and mentor junior members of the team.
Skills and Qualifications:
-
- Experience: Bachelor's/Master's degree in a related field, with 5+ years of experience in HR, onboarding, or talent management, including at least 2 years in a program management or leadership role.
- Global Program Management: Proven experience developing and managing scalable remote, in-person, and hybrid onboarding programs within a fast-paced, global company.
- Security & Compliance: Strong understanding of data privacy principles and experience with global identity verification (IDV) and background check processes.
- Tech-Savvy: High proficiency with HRIS systems, especially Workday (strongly preferred), as well as onboarding tools and LMS. Experience with ticketing systems (Jira, etc.) is a plus.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport, influence stakeholders, and work collaboratively with diverse, global teams.
- Organizational & Analytical Skills: Strong project management, high attention to detail, and a data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze metrics and solve problems proactively.
- Experience working in the tech industry is a plus.
What Makes Cloudflare Special?
We’re not just a highly ambitious, large-scale technology company. We’re a highly ambitious, large-scale technology company with a soul. Fundamental to our mission to help build a better Internet is protecting the free and open Internet.
Project Galileo: Since 2014, we've equipped more than 2,400 journalism and civil society organizations in 111 countries with powerful tools to defend themselves against attacks that would otherwise censor their work, technology already used by Cloudflare’s enterprise customers--at no cost.
Athenian Project: In 2017, we created the Athenian Project to ensure that state and local governments have the highest level of protection and reliability for free, so that their constituents have access to election information and voter registration. Since the project, we've provided services to more than 425 local government election websites in 33 states.
1.1.1.1: We released 1.1.1.1 to help fix the foundation of the Internet by building a faster, more secure and privacy-centric public DNS resolver. This is available publicly for everyone to use - it is the first consumer-focused service Cloudflare has ever released. Here’s the deal - we don’t store client IP addresses never, ever. We will continue to abide by our privacy commitment and ensure that no user data is sold to advertisers or used to target consumers.
Sound like something you’d like to be a part of? We’d love to hear from you!
