As an Motion Designer you will own the creation of high-impact, platform-native content across all social channels. This role is exclusively focused on social media, concepting, editing, animating, and optimizing video built specifically for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
You understand how content performs in-feed and how to capture attention quickly. You combine strong editorial instincts with elevated motion design craft. You move fast, think strategically, and know how to balance speed with brand consistency.
This is a hands-on, high-volume creative role for someone who thrives in the daily rhythm of social storytelling.
You Will:
- Create platform-native videos optimized for vertical, square, and mobile-first formats.
- Concept, edit, and animate short-form content including launches, brand storytelling, trend-driven content, and community moments.
- Develop motion systems and graphic templates tailored for social channels.
- Translate brand guidelines into flexible, social-first executions that feel current and culturally relevant.
- Collaborate with art directors, copywriters, and marketers to align content with channel goals.
- Apply motion graphics, typography, subtitles, and sound design that enhance clarity and engagement.
- Optimize deliverables based on platform specifications and best practices.
- Maintain organized workflows to support fast turnarounds and consistent output.
You Have:
- 4+ years of professional experience creating and editing content specifically for social media.
- A portfolio that demonstrates excellence in short-form video and motion graphics.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere and After Effects, with strong working knowledge of additional Adobe Creative Cloud tools.
- Strong understanding of motion fundamentals including timing, hierarchy, typography, and composition.
- Experience producing content optimized for vertical and mobile-first viewing.
- Deep familiarity with platform trends and audience behavior across major social channels.
- Strong audio instincts including music selection and sound design.
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page.
Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
