Role Summary

OpenTable is seeking a skilled contractor to support our B2B email marketing execution across Marketo, SendGrid, and Groove. This role will be primarily focused on building, scheduling, QAing, and deploying emails, as well as maintaining audience lists and campaign accuracy. The contractor will also assist with reporting and internal updates of performance with stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has Marketo experience with hands-on experience executing email campaigns from start to finish. Familiarity with Monday.com or similar project management tools is helpful for tracking deliverables and maintaining workflow efficiency. While the main focus will be on execution, this person will also help identify opportunities to streamline manual processes with automation.

Key Responsibilities

Email Execution (Primary Focus)

  • Build, QA, and deploy B2B email campaigns in Marketo, ensuring flawless execution and adherence to brand, compliance, and deliverability standards.
  • Manage audience lists, tokens, and dynamic content to personalize communications at scale.
  • Support additional campaign sends and workflows in SendGrid and Groove as needed.
  • Write and edit HTML/CSS for responsive email templates as needed, ensuring they are compatible with major email clients.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to email deliverability, automation flows, and data synchronization with CRM systems.

Process Documentation & QA Improvement

  • Audit current email build and QA processes to identify inefficiencies and manual steps.
  • Develop clear process documentation and checklists to improve consistency and reduce errors.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for automation within Marketo (e.g., reusable templates, snippets, smart campaigns or other tools to integrate).

Reporting & Stakeholder Communication

  • Track and share basic performance metrics (e.g., delivery, open, and click rates).
  • Summarize learnings and insights for internal stakeholders.
  • Support ad hoc reporting requests related to campaign execution and performance.

Qualifications

  • Marketo Certified Expert (MCE) is a strong plus, or equivalent deep hands-on experience in a similar role.
  • 2-3 years of experience in marketing operations or a hands-on Marketo specialist role, preferably in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Proven experience automating complex processes and building scalable campaign frameworks in Marketo.
  • Proficiency in HTML/CSS for email development and a solid understanding of email design best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • A self-starter who can work independently and drive a project from initial concept to completion.

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. The range for this United States based role is $70,000-90,000 USD.

Work Environment & Flexibility

At OpenTable, we pride ourselves on fostering a global and dynamic work environment. As a team member with us, you will benefit from a schedule tailored to accommodate a global workforce operating across multiple time zones. While the majority of your responsibilities may align with conventional business hours, there will be instances where you are expected to manage communications - via calls, Slack messages, or emails - outside of regular working hours to effectively collaborate with international colleagues, respond to restaurant partners, and/or address urgent matters. OpenTable will always abide by and consider local laws and regulations.

Inclusion

We’re committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels they belong and can thrive. We know the best ideas come when we bring different voices to the table, so we're building a team as dynamic as the diners and restaurants we serve—and fostering a culture where everyone feels welcome to be themselves.

If you need adjustments during the application or interview process, or on the job, we’re here to support you. Please reach out to your recruiter to request any accommodations.
